The dresser mirror is out of glue. What should I stick to?
Glass glue is a kind of adhesive commonly used in families. Its main component is sodium silicate (Na2O·MSIO 2), which is soluble in water and sticky. The south is also called sodium silicate, and the north is also called sodium silicate. It is a material for bonding and sealing various glasses with other substrates.
How to use:
1. Use: One-component silica gel glass glue can be used immediately. It can be easily punched out of a plastic bottle with a glue gun, and its surface can be trimmed with a scraper or sawdust.
2. Sticking time: The curing process of silicone adhesive develops inward from the surface, and the drying time and curing time of silica gel surface with different characteristics are different, so if the surface is to be repaired, it must be done before the surface of glass adhesive is dried (acid adhesive and neutral transparent adhesive should generally be within 5- 10 minute, and neutral variegated adhesive should generally be within 30 minutes). If a place is pasted with color separation paper, it must be taken away before the skin is formed after gluing.
3. Curing time: The curing time of glass glue increases with the increase of bonding thickness. For example, an acidic glass glue with a thickness of12mm may take 3-4 days to cure, but within about 24 hours, a 3mm outer layer has cured. When glass, metal or most wood are bonded, the peel strength is 20 lbs/inch after 72 hours at room temperature. If the place where the glass glue is used is partially or completely closed, then the curing time is determined by the tightness of the seal. In an absolutely closed place, it may never be cured. If the temperature rises, the glass glue will soften. The gap between metal-to-metal bonding surfaces should not exceed 25mm. In all kinds of bonding occasions, including closed conditions, before using bonding equipment, it is necessary to comprehensively check the bonding effect. During the curing process of acidic glass glue, there will be an odor due to the volatilization of acetic acid, which will disappear during the curing process and there will be no odor after curing.
4. Bonding: a. Wipe the metal and plastic surfaces thoroughly to remove oil stains, then use sandpaper to polish the rubber surface except that the plastic is washed with acetone first, and then wipe it with acetone. Please observe the precautions when using acetone. B. Apply the glass glue evenly on the surface of the prepared object. If two surfaces are bonded together, you can put one surface first, and then squeeze the other surface with enough force to squeeze out the air, but be careful not to squeeze out the glass glue. C, placing the bonded device at room temperature until the glass glue is cured.
5. Sealing: When sealing with silicone glass glue, follow the above steps, and press the glass glue into the joint surface or gap to make the glass glue fully contact with the surface.
6. Cleaning: Glass glue can be wiped off with cloth or paper towel before curing, scraped off with scraper after curing or scrubbed with xylene, acetone and other solvents.
