What's the difference between traditional martial arts and modern fighting?

Modern fighting is also refined from traditional martial arts. No matter which school of martial arts, whether modern or traditional, its principle is the same. But the difference is that Wushu pays great attention to self-cultivation, while modern fighting pays more attention to the pursuit of strength in actual combat.

Learning traditional Wushu is usually based on practicing routines; Basic skills training mainly includes standing piles and stretching leg press. Usually, the application method of technical movements can only be taught by "speaking hands"; Double sparring is mainly based on "pushing hands"; There is less actual combat training.

The training of modern Wushu mainly includes physical training, technical action training and actual combat confrontation training. Physical training focuses on explosive force, flexibility, physical fitness and fighting. Technical action training mainly includes air combat, sandbag, target shooting and duet training under the guidance of coaches. The actual combat confrontation training will be conducted in accordance with the internationally accepted rules, and various protective gear will be used according to actual needs to ensure safety.
