Composition diagram of automobile braking system, working principle and process of automobile braking system.

Automobile braking system is what we commonly call braking system, which mainly plays the role of slowing down. Brake system has a great influence on driving safety, but we often use brakes, so do you know the working process of automobile brake system? Below we will mainly introduce the working process of drum brake and disc brake for everyone.

Working process of automobile braking system

At present, automobile braking systems are divided into disc brakes and drum brakes, and the working processes of these two brakes are very different, as follows:

Disc brake: the driver applies pressure to the pedal-the vacuum booster pump amplifies the thrust to push the master cylinder-the brake oil is distributed to the front and rear brakes through the brake valve-the brake cylinder pushes the brake pad to squeeze inward-the friction between the brake pad and the brake disc plays a braking role.

Drum braking: the driver applies pressure to the pedal-the vacuum booster pump amplifies the thrust to push the master cylinder-the brake oil pushes the brake shoe to expand outward under the pressure-the friction between the brake shoe and the brake drum slows down the brake drum, thus playing a braking role.

Disc brake is mainly composed of brake master cylinder, brake slave cylinder, brake pad, brake disc, brake pedal and brake oil pipe. Drum brake is mainly composed of bottom plate, brake wheel cylinder, return spring, limit spring, regulator, brake shoe and brake drum. If it is a common air brake for freight cars, its main components are air compressor, pressure regulating valve, safety valve, manual brake valve and other components.

Is it necessary to maintain the brakes for 20 thousand kilometers?

Whether to do brake maintenance for 20 thousand kilometers depends not only on the mileage, but also on the age of the car and the wear of brake pads. If the driving life reaches about 3 years, it means it is time to change the brake oil. When the brake oil is used for a long time, it will absorb water from the air and its boiling point will decrease, which will lead to the decline of braking performance. If the brake pads are worn to meet the replacement requirements during inspection, they should be replaced in time, otherwise the brake hidden trouble will easily occur.
