First, the connotation of model singing
Model singing refers to the teacher demonstrating singing. It is the most important means and the most commonly used method in vocal music teaching, which has great influence and runs through the whole process of vocal music teaching. Correct demonstration singing refers to the correct demonstration of singing methods and teaching requirements by teachers in the teaching process. Students should be shown a correct singing state. Such as: correct breathing state, correct oral state, correct singing essentials, etc. When the state of singing is right, the voice is naturally right. The main purpose here is to train students to have a correct singing consciousness in their brains. If students combine their conscious feelings with their auditory feelings for training, after long-term cycle and patient singing, they will eventually master the correct singing methods, form the correct singing state and obtain perfect sound effects. Therefore, every time the teacher sings correctly, he will directly leave some thoughts and memories in the students' minds. When the teacher's explanation and model singing reach a certain amount, the students' singing level will have a qualitative leap. Over time, students' singing inspiration will suddenly open and their singing level will naturally improve.
Second, the main problems existing in the current vocal music teaching.
(A) too much emphasis on imitation, ignoring the establishment of a correct singing method model
In the primary stage of vocal music teaching in kindergarten teachers, some teachers always regard demonstration singing as the most important teaching method. As soon as they heard that the students' pronunciation method was wrong, they immediately used model singing, and then asked the students to regard it as "model singing", instead of pointing out the students' mistakes in time and analyzing the reasons for the mistakes, so that the students could blindly model singing when they only knew what they were doing. This will inevitably lead to students only paying attention to imitating the teacher's timbre and volume in the learning process, thus ignoring the establishment of correct singing methods. The characteristics of vocal music art determine that singers can master vocal music singing skills only if they get correct perception and then consolidate through their own exploration and practice.
(2) Teachers and students have different voices, and excessive imitation may be counterproductive.
In vocal music teaching, demonstration singing between different parts often occupies a high proportion. The so-called model singing of different voices refers to the phenomenon that teachers and students as model singers do not belong to the same voice. In vocal music teaching, teachers often meet students with different voice types and voice personalities. For example, when a male teacher meets a female classmate, there is a strong contrast between the two sides in gender, voice and voice type. It will naturally bring some problems to the actual vocal music teaching. For example, the tenor uses a singing method based on true voice, while the soprano uses a singing method based on falsetto. Therefore, model singing sometimes has the opposite effect; On the contrary, male bass teachers are often powerless when demonstrating in high-pitched areas. This is because the model singing can't have a good effect because of the restriction of its vocal singing characteristics.
(3) Inconsistent singing makes it more difficult to imitate the singing of models.
The mode singing between different singing methods refers to the mode singing that transcends the artistic style and singing technical method system of vocal music schools. There are three kinds of singing methods: bel canto, folk singing and popular singing. In vocal music teaching, it is very common to perform model singing in different singing methods, such as: national singing teachers perform model singing for bel canto students, or bel canto teachers perform demonstration singing for national singing students and so on. These are all common phenomena. The reason why there will be the problem of model singing between different singing methods. In fact, it is also related to the normal and higher vocational nature of vocal music teaching. Vocal music teachers in normal colleges and higher vocational colleges face different levels and types of students. According to the characteristics of students' voices, teachers can't avoid different singing methods, not to mention lecturing students who sing the same way as themselves. These are indisputable objective facts.
Third, the main methods and strategies of correct demonstration singing
(A) establish a correct voice concept, objective understanding of singing principles.
"Correct sound concept" is a specific ideological concept formed by the singer's thinking, understanding and understanding of the physical properties of vocal music. It should conform to the scientific law of singing, the physiological structure of vocalization, its own objective conditions and the aesthetic needs of vocal art. When talking about singing, the famous Italian coloratura soprano Luisa Tracchi said: "There is only one correct singing method: natural, relaxed and comfortable." The peak of singing art is that there is no obvious method, but it can sing from one end of the voice to the other with absolute flexibility and fluency, and the connection between each note and the adjacent notes is so "natural". The "nature" mentioned here does not refer to the "original natural sound" of human beings, but a scientific and artistic natural sound formed on the basis of "original ecology" through scientific and artistic processing.
(2) Integrate theory with practice, and be targeted.
Model singing is generally suitable for middle and lower grades, especially for lower grades. In the primary stage of vocal music learning, teachers should prevent students from simply imitating the teacher's voice and guide students to pay attention to the learning of singing methods when using the demonstration singing teaching method. Combining theoretical teaching with practical teaching, we should remind students that the way to treat model singing is not to imitate its timbre and volume, but to master the correct pronunciation method, establish the correct sound concept, inspire students to accurately remember their best voice, and gradually reach the level of ease and handy use. The process of vocal music learning depends on a high degree of auditory experience. Only under the correct requirements and guidance, can we constantly make corrections and improvements in time and master vocal music skills. The teacher's model singing method should have the effect of "throwing bricks to attract jade" To grasp the principle of moderation, we should fully grasp the opportunity of model singing, demonstrate and inspire students when they encounter practical problems, enhance their thirst for knowledge, and really have a clear aim.
(3) Interpretation is more than singing, with explanation as the main line.
Sherman Chavor, a famous American swimming coach, has trained world-famous athletes such as Shpits and Meyer in his teaching career. They broke 60 world records and won 16 Olympic gold medals. However, no one would have thought that a swimming coach with outstanding contributions like this could not swim himself! His achilles heel was discovered after the American swimming team won for the first time. On that day, the athletes happily lifted him up and threw him into the swimming pool, only to see him struggling in the water and gradually sinking into the bottom of the pool. Thanks to the timely rescue, he was saved from bad luck. It can be seen that teaching methods are diversified, and so is vocal music teaching. It is not the same voice that can cultivate excellent talents. When teachers face these groups, the model singing method they choose must have strong directivity and pertinence, but not blindness and randomness. In other words, in the face of students with different voices, teachers should listen to the specific singing situation of students with different voices. Only by choosing the right model singing method can we be targeted in teaching. Sometimes the teacher's "speaking" may be better than "singing".
(D) Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, and adjusting the requirements of model singing.
Facing the students with different singing methods, vocal music teachers can start from their own characteristics, strengthen the analysis and understanding of various singing methods and adopt different teaching methods. At the same time, we should grasp the measure and scale of model singing, and never let random model singing interfere with the training norms of genre singing teaching guidance. In some cases, teachers would rather talk more than sing. Only in this way can teachers ensure the normal teaching activities. There should be some analysis and understanding of students' voice. Make a teaching plan and teach students in accordance with their aptitude. In teaching, teachers should correctly guide students according to their voice conditions and voice personality, pay attention to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, and can't let students completely follow their own templates, thus losing their own voice characteristics. There may still be some differences in voice conditions and voice characteristics between teachers and students. Technical singing is usually used to demonstrate correct or wrong body singing movements and vocal skills for students, rather than asking students to sing the same voice as the teacher's voice through imitation. Students selectively absorb what is useful to them in the teacher's model singing, and at the same time pay attention to maintaining their own voice advantages and characteristics, and don't lose their personality because of imitating the model singing effect, so that imitation has practical use value.
To sum up, model singing teaching is not only an important link in vocal music teaching, but also an indispensable method in the teaching process. Only by properly and correctly using demonstration singing can teachers make the teaching process relaxed and comfortable, cultivate students' auditory discrimination ability, train students' keen musical hearing, make students get inspiration through teachers' demonstration singing, and thus establish a correct view of singing voice. Therefore, the use of model singing should follow the principles of purpose, pertinence, appropriateness and timeliness. Only in this way can the principle of "teacher-oriented and student-centered" be truly embodied, and the model singing teaching can achieve twice the result with half the effort.
