Three major forest areas in China

Northeast forest region, southwest forest region and south forest region.

The three major forest areas in China refer to the northeast forest area, southwest forest area and south forest area. Daxing 'anling, Xiaoxing 'anling and Changbai Mountain in Northeast China are the largest forest areas in China, which are generally called Northeast Forest Areas. Southwest forest region mainly includes Hengduan Mountain area at the border of Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet and the southern slope of Himalayan Mountain in southeast Tibet. The vast area south of Huaihe River in Qinling Mountains and east of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau belongs to the southern forest region (southeast forest region), the third largest forest region in China.
