A Comparison between the 37-style and the 45-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan: the origin of one or two sets of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan.
37-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, also known as Wu-style simplified Tai Ji Chuan, was created by Wang Peisheng, the third descendant of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, in 1953. In the late 1930s, Wang Peisheng defeated the siege of four Japanese soldiers with live ammunition in the street with Tai Ji Chuan stunt. At the 198 1 Shenyang Sino-Japanese Wushu Exchange Conference, Wang Peisheng defeated Yamazaki Bo, a first-class Japanese martial artist, with the technique of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan.
In order to let the fans learn the basic routines of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan in a short time, Wang Peisheng dropped the repetitive movements on the basis of the 84-style Wu-style old rack. 65438-0988 The State Sports Commission organized experts to compile various Tai Ji Chuan competition routines. Li Bingci, a famous Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan artist, absorbed the typical movements and practices of the North and South schools on the basis of the traditional 83-style Tai Ji Chuan, simplified the composition, and Li Bingci was responsible for the overall standardization and drills of the movements, thus forming a 45-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan national competition routine. The 45-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan not only retains the style, characteristics and technical essentials of the traditional Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan routine, but also innovates and develops, integrating competition, fitness and performance, so it is deeply loved by Tai Ji Chuan experts at home and abroad, and is also welcomed by the majority of Wushu athletes and Tai Ji Chuan fans. After the implementation of martial arts in China, Wu Style 45 and Chen Style 56 were listed as the subjects of Band 6 examination, and Wu Style 45 was also listed in the textbooks of physical education colleges by the state, which became the performance and competition items promoted by local sports committees and martial arts associations in Tai Ji Chuan. The appearance of 45-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan competition routine marks that Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan has entered a new stage of development.
Comparison between Tai Ji Chuan of Wu Style 37 and of Wu Style 45: Characteristics and differences of two sets of Tai Ji Chuan.
1.***
Both Type 37 and Type 45 retain Wu Tai Ji Chuan? Light, quiet, soft, tight, soft, Sichuan-shaped, oblique and straight? Style characteristics. Specifically, the two sets of Tai Ji Chuan retain the following characteristics and styles of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan:
(1) The power frame is compact, relaxed and natural, warm and meticulous, with continuous strokes and interlocking, such as flowing water, light and round, loose outside and tight inside, cotton covered with needles, solid gas inside, slow outside and consistent movements.
(2) What are the appearances of pallets and shelves? Crawl forward? , waist, hips, chest, back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, palms, knees, feet and palms are pulled out one after another and contracted one after another. The so-called static is particularly dynamic, and the visual movement is particularly static.
(3) There is no redundant action, the back-and-forth conversion is direct, the center of gravity does not change because of wandering, the action trajectories are all on a plane circle, and each plane circle forms a three-dimensional circle.
Will two feet do? Pass? A word step, whether parallel or imaginary, lunge or oblique lunge, both feet are parallel.
(5) same? Inclined and straight? Reach? Upright? 、? Zhongzheng anshu? . ? Inclined and straight? It is composed of posture (trunk part: from the top of the head to the buttocks) and footwork (lower limbs, legs and feet) into a lunge. ? Tricuspid valve? The photos, namely toes, knees and the tip of the nose, are vertical. Although the martial arts community has different views on this, the author thinks? Inclined and straight? With what? Upright? 、? Zhongzheng anshu? It is not contradictory, which should be one of the characteristics that distinguishes Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan from other schools.
2. Difference
The main difference between type 37 and type 45 Wu Tai Ji Chuan is:
(1) The 37-style retains more movements of the old Wushu style and the 84-style, and basically retains the main parts of the 84-style except the repetitive movements, with less innovative movements. Forty-five styles absorbed the technical characteristics of the schools of eighty-three styles in the North and eighty-four styles in the South, and made many innovative moves.
(2) Type 37 puts the movements with less exercise and less technical difficulty in front and behind, and puts the movements with more exercise and greater technical difficulty in the middle, forming a pattern of heavy in the middle and light at both ends. Except that the initial part of the 45-style is less difficult, the amount of exercise and technical difficulty are relatively balanced, and there is no sense of fluctuation.
(3) The amount of exercise and technical difficulty of the two sets of Tai Ji Chuan are basically the same. Although the number of movements of Type 37 is less than that of Type 45, in fact, its movements such as raising knees, turning around and kicking feet, beating tigers left and right, kicking feet left and right are all movements with great exercise and high technical difficulty, and some movements have been merged. For example, the 37-type crossing hand includes three actions: crossing hands, closing Tai Chi and closing. The 45-type tiger-fighting style and the left-right cloud hand also have high technical difficulty.
(4) The structure arrangement of the whole routine of Type 45 is reasonable, and the difficulty arrangement is better than that of Type 37. Its movements include pulling the tail of a sparrow from left to right, single whip, knee wrestling, golden rooster independence, arm twisting, submarine needle, flashing back, wild horse mane, jade shuttle, cloud hand, face palm, horse exploration, foot splitting, tiger beating and palm beating. It not only keeps the balance of the whole routine, but also makes people feel that the structure is novel. The 37-type movement focuses on the left side, and the overall architecture design is not as good as that of the 45-type movement.
(5) Forty-five styles are more ornamental. The 45-style movements, such as starting, white crane shining its wings, swinging its body, looking at the bottom of elbow, palm-to-palm, stepping on seven stars, and stepping backwards across the tiger, are more beautiful, especially the 40th step backwards across the tiger, which is unique.
As can be seen from the above comparison, the 37-style and 45-style Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan are two sets of excellent Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan routines, which are both unique and distinctive. They played an important role in the development history of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, especially in the popularization and application of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan after the founding of New China.
A Comparison between Type 37 and Type 45 Wu Tai Ji Chuan —— The scope of application of three or two sets of Tai Ji Chuan and related issues
Tai Ji Chuan 37 and 45 are two sets of routines with similar technical difficulty, exercise intensity and overall structure. They all retain the characteristics of the traditional Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, with high technical content, rigorous science and good fitness effect, so they are loved by experts and the masses and are suitable for all Tai Ji Chuan enthusiasts to practice.
However, no matter from the original intention and conception of the two sets of Tai Ji Chuan, or from their own characteristics, their scope of application and applicable people are still different.
Thirty-seven Style was introduced in the early days of the founding of New China, in order to restore and popularize Tai Ji Chuan. Due to the rush of time, it was mainly formed by deleting the repeated part of Lao Wu's 83-style framework and retaining the main part in the middle, with few innovative actions. Excluding repetitive movements, its technical content, exercise intensity and difficulty are more than 80% of those of old-fashioned 84, South-style 84, North-style 83 and 108, which is more suitable for popularizing Tai Ji Chuan. Judging from its promotion effect in Beijing, Dandong, the United States, Southeast Asia and other overseas countries, this Tai Ji Chuan is still very good. At the same time, due to certain technical difficulty and exercise intensity, it can also be used as an auxiliary training project for Wushu, Wushu athletes and armed police officers and soldiers.
Forty-five Style is one of the competition routines compiled by the State Sports Commission, aiming at standardizing Wu Style Tai Ji Chuan, making it more suitable for promotion, competition and performance, and more operational, judgmental and international. Therefore, in the process of editing and practicing, besides referring to a large number of predecessors' works, it not only has the characteristics of Tai Ji Chuan in the northern and southern Wu style, but also absorbs and draws lessons from some excellent technical movements of other Tai Ji Chuan schools such as Chen, Yang, Wu and Sun style, which is very innovative and appreciative. Therefore, it is not only suitable for popularization and application in Tai Ji Chuan, but also suitable for martial arts competitions and performances at home and abroad, as well as the stage assessment of Tai Ji Chuan athletes. It can be used as a Tai Ji Chuan teaching material and training subject for physical education majors and martial arts associations in colleges and universities.
The 37-style movement has a large range and many movements are also difficult, so you can't practice the 37-style too fast, so luck and movements can be in place. Generally, it takes 10~ 15 minutes to type 37 once. Forty-five doesn't take that much time, about eight minutes.
Many Tai Ji Chuan fans, including some descendants from Tai Ji Chuan, have always believed that traditional routines are authentic and like to practice from traditional routines. I don't think that's necessarily the case. We can learn Wu Tai Ji Chuan from the 37-style simplified routine or the 45-style competition routine. This is because they are created on the basis of synthesizing the achievements of predecessors, including the basic techniques and movements of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, and some innovative movements, which are easy to understand, easy to learn and easy to use, and can achieve twice the result with half the effort. After mastering the basic skills and main movements of Wu-style Tai Ji Chuan, it is possible to improve faster by learning more difficult traditional and old routines.
