The English future tense, also known as the general future tense, has two forms: I: the verb be (am, is, are) + going to do sth. translates as to be about to do something. Two: the verb will + the original form of the verb, which also means that something will be done.

Basic rule of future tense. If we have a sentence where we need to mention something in the future, we can use the future tense. For example, the following sentences use the future tense. i will go to america tomorrow. he will dance tonight. peter will finish his work next month.

If we don't use "will", we can use verb to be +going to+ verb". If we do this, the three sentences above will become the following sentences i am going to go to america tomorrow. he is going to dance tonight. peter is going to finish his work next month. peter is going to finish his work next month.

The following are some examples of the future tense: ?i will call you tonight. i am going to call you tonight. he will graduate next june. he is going to graduate next june. i am going to call you tonight. he is going to graduate next june.
