Traditional holidays should be extended.
In the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, the Spring Festival is the most important festival, which means to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. This is a good day for people to review the harvest of one year and make good wishes and unremitting efforts for the coming year. For many years, many employers have only six days for the Spring Festival. Even some employers, such as riders, take-away, restaurants, foot bath shops and other industries, usually have a holiday of about three to four days. Many people work far from their families and cannot go home to enjoy the reunion because of the short Spring Festival holiday. It not only makes the originally cheerful and joyful Spring Festival tense, but also makes many working-class people confined to their posts and unable to share the joy of Spring Festival reunion with their families.
After the epidemic, the national economy was not very prosperous. Many industries that were originally profitable, such as clothing, electronic appliances and a considerable number of service industries, saw their income shrink seriously. Holidays are an important period to promote consumer demand and stimulate economic growth. Many people will choose to travel, go shopping, watch movies and so on during their holidays. Therefore, extending holidays or adding more holidays can make people spend more time with their families after busy work, and at the same time, it can stimulate economic growth and promote the promotion of national demand, thus realizing the development of domestic economy and promoting the domestic economic cycle. It can also alleviate a series of problems caused by the epidemic: rising unemployment rate and slowing GDP growth.
At the same time, many enterprises and employers encourage overtime in their work systems. At the same time, some units will use overtime instead of holidays, which will greatly reduce employees' holidays. Although there are 125 statutory holidays and rest days in China, accounting for more than one third of the whole year, which basically reaches the level of moderately developed countries, many people still feel that there are not enough holidays. The reasons are: on the one hand, people's sense of gain and happiness during holidays is insufficient. During some small holidays, it is often the peak period of tourism, and tourists in scenic spots show a spurt growth, which greatly reduces the experience of holidays and tourism. On the other hand, many employers have not implemented legal holidays. In fact, there is not much real rest time during the holiday that should be compressed.
Therefore, extending the holiday is not only the common demand of the people, but also meets the needs of current economic development. I hope to strengthen the binding force of legal holidays and give them back to people. At the same time, improve the paid vacation system so that employees can stagger the peak hours and go out to relax.
