Overview of Power Load Forecasting

Power load forecasting includes two meanings, namely, to refer to a variety of electrical equipment installed in the state organs, enterprises, residents and other users, but also can be used to describe the value of the electrical power consumed by the above electrical equipment.

Power load forecasting is a series of forecasting work with the power load as the object. From the point of view of the forecasting object, power load forecasting includes forecasting of future power demand (power) and forecasting of future electricity consumption (energy) and forecasting of the load curve. Its main work is to predict the future time distribution and spatial distribution of power load, for power system planning and operation to provide a reliable basis for decision-making.
