Advantages and disadvantages of emulsification in water

Disadvantages are short shelf life and inconvenient transportation. Its advantages are easy melting and use, safe dispensing, etc.

Generally speaking, the water solubility of pesticides used to process emulsions is expected to be below1000 mg/L/L. Because the preparation contains a lot of water, pesticides insensitive to hydrolysis can be easily processed into chemically stable emulsions in water. Pesticides such as organophosphorus and carbamate are easy to hydrolyze, but if the hydrolysis problem can be solved by choosing emulsifiers, emulsifiers and other additives, they can also be processed into emulsion in water.

In pesticide emulsion in water, the function of emulsifier is to reduce the surface and interfacial tension, disperse and emulsify the oil phase into tiny oil droplets, and suspend them in the water phase to form emulsion.

Emulsifiers are orderly arranged on the surface of oil droplets to form a film, with one polar end facing water and the other nonpolar end facing oil. Due to the space barrier and electrostatic effect, oil droplets cannot grow together, thus stabilizing the emulsion. For the convenience of users, the structure, firmness and compactness of the membrane and its sensitivity to temperature determine the physical and chemical stability of the emulsion in water.
