Characteristics of traditional Ming shroud

Shroud: clothes for the dead, referring to clothes for the dead. The old man made clothes to wear after death, called shroud, which means health and longevity. 2. The characteristics of clothes are different.

Shroud refers to clothes worn by the dead. Old people make clothes and wear them after death, which means health and longevity. At present, there are ancient clothes, modern clothes and some unique styles on the market. Generally, woolen cloth, printed cloth and silk are used, which are exquisite in workmanship and are an indispensable part of China's cultural customs.

The shroud is made of cotton, hemp, silk, satin and wool. Chemical fiber fabrics will burn into liquid during incineration, which not only affects the quality of ashes, but also causes environmental pollution. Therefore, chemical fiber fabrics are generally not used to make shroud.

There are many kinds of fabrics for ordinary clothes, and all fabrics can be made into clothes. Commonly used fabrics are: silk, pure cotton, polyester-cotton blended fabric, woolen cloth and wool. All kinds of natural fiber (soybean fiber, bamboo fiber, etc.) fabrics, as well as chemical fibers.
