Earthquake science is the most clear environmental safety science group to study earth disasters so far, which provides a scientific premise for the development of generalized natural disaster science. However, the concept of natural disasters is broader, including primary geological disasters (volcano, earthquake, underground gas-liquid explosion, intense thermal explosion, land fire and so on). ), meteorological and hydrological disasters (ultra-low temperature, ultra-high temperature, extreme drought, rainstorm and flood, El Ni? o phenomenon, strong typhoon, local strong climate anomaly, etc. ), astronomical disasters (meteorite impact, asteroid impact, cosmic particle flow, etc. ) induced external dynamic disasters include collapse, landslide, debris flow, ice avalanche, tsunami, sandstorm, desertification, air and sea turbulence, land subsidence, ground fissure, sand blasting, water inrush, coastal erosion, malignant accumulation, soil erosion, soil degradation, water resource extinction, natural fire, vegetation disaster, insect disaster, animal disaster, plague, crop reduction, and sharp decline in aquatic resources. According to historical documents, it is estimated that 80% of the total economic output of human civilization was destroyed by these natural disasters, and only 20% was used for normal consumption. The rise and fall of human history is also strictly controlled by natural disasters, and 90% of the total losses are concentrated in catastrophic events with short time and strong disasters. The rise and fall of human history, migration and even war also occurred in the rhythmic peak range of these disastrous combinations, especially in geological history, especially in Phanerozoic. Taking 1982 world-wide volcanoes, earthquakes, ground fires, climate anomalies and ecological disasters as examples, the author puts forward that it is of great significance to start comprehensive and multidisciplinary research on natural disasters in a broad sense, to expand the theory of earth science, to use natural laws to carry out multi-channel disaster prevention and reduction, to ensure the safety of human economic civilization, and to be the inevitable trend of the development of environmental geology and earthquake geology.

In the face of various types of natural disasters, the mechanism is still unclear, and the temporal and spatial laws of disasters are elusive. How to carry out exploration? We now make the following comments.

(1) Analyze the cause and effect, and establish the serial relationship of the causes. That is to say, starting from the disaster phenomenon, collecting geoscience data, mastering the original internal dynamic reasons, and forming a chain network of causal reasons.

(2) Using the internal relations to carry out the research on the subject correlation, and simplify all kinds of disasters into a dynamic correlation chain.

(3) There are vertical thermal dynamic chains in all spheres of the earth, including the center of the earth, the mantle, the lithosphere, the hydrosphere, the biosphere, the atmosphere and the near-earth space, and the intensity of its vertical cross-layer movement is several times to dozens of times higher than that of the current horizontal movement, especially when studying qualitative major disasters and catastrophes, it is necessary to introduce this concept of modern geodynamics.

(4) Starting with the analysis and statistics of literature and history data and Phanerozoic chronology, the temporal and spatial distribution spectrum is compiled, the rhythmic periods of different temporal and spatial scales are summarized, and the low tide and peak are searched.

(5) Analyze and screen the source of the cataclysmic dynamic tide. According to the author's preliminary prediction, the internal thermal power of the earth accounts for 80%, and the astronomical cosmic power, that is, the solar system power, accounts for 20%. The internal cause is main and dominant, and the external cause is induced.

(6) In-depth study of geodynamics, first of all, the material structure and dynamics of the upper mantle and lithosphere, and at the same time, analysis of astronomical factors, including extraterrestrial dynamics and material exchange process. It will inevitably lead to a unified cosmic dynamics system and evolution theory.

(7) Explore the establishment of modern pan-geoscience or astronomical geoscience disaster observation technology system, including geology, seismology, volcanic geothermal, geophysics, relativistic mechanics, mathematical hydrometeorology, monitoring, recording, transmission and processing technologies. In order to collect dynamic information widely, sensitively and in real time.

(8) Establish comprehensive and specialized disaster symptoms, forecasting knowledge and preventive measures. Such as pre-disaster symptoms, disaster indicators, post-disaster phenomena and related mechanisms.

(9) Further improve the environmental science system, and improve the quasi-static research of the earth environment, astronomical environment, ecological environment and civilized economic environment to the dynamic environment prediction stage centered on disasters and catastrophes.

(10) Closely combine the establishment and development of disaster discipline with the current economic construction of human civilization, environmental safety and disaster prediction, and explore the establishment and development of science in combination with reality.

In the past two years, the author clearly put forward the idea of stepping into the updating stage of natural disasters research on the earth, which can solve the imminent danger, catastrophic life and death, short-lived rise and fall and other disasters. The establishment of disaster geology marks that earth science has entered a new height with more theoretical and practical value. Of course, it is extremely difficult to explore and create this updated scientific system in theory and technology, but I firmly believe that it will bring new hope for the future of mankind, earth science and celestial evolution research, and hope that people of insight at home and abroad will work together to make efforts for human prosperity, civilized economic development, environmental safety, disaster prediction and safety prevention.

Faced with this new development trend, experts and scholars in earthquake science should have the most practical and theoretical basis, the easiest to understand and the best to play a pioneering role.
