Origin of Flying Flower Order
Flying Flower Order was originally one of the drinking games, and the loser was punished with a drink.
Wine order is an important part of the wine culture, which is a drinking game for fun at feasts, born in Confucianism "ritual", first born in the Zhou. Drinking orders is not only the performance of the ancient tradition of hospitality, but also the crystallization of their drinking art and ingenuity.
The "Flying Flower Order" is actually a unique game for Chinese people to enjoy drinking. Flying Flower Order is a kind of elegant order, which is more refined, and people without the foundation of poetry can't play it at all. Therefore, this kind of drinking order has become a favorite word game of literati and writers, and even its name is also derived from the poems. In the famous poem "Cold Food" by Tang Dynasty poet Han Jian (翃), there is a line that reads "There are no flying flowers anywhere in the city of spring", so it is called "Flying Flowers Order".
In fact, there were many poems with the word "flying flowers" in the Tang Dynasty, such as Wu Yuanheng's "Flying Flowers and Swallows", Gu Fong's "Flying Flowers and Sandalwood Fragrance", and Xue Ji's "Flying Flowers and Coral Tree". Xue JI's "flying flowers mess under the coral branches", Xue Yao's "flying flowers through the road" and so on. The reason why only "Spring City Everywhere Not Flying Flowers" is recognized as the origin of "Flying Flowers Order" is roughly twofold, one is that Han Jian (韩翃) was a poet admired by Emperor Li Shi of Tang Dynasty (唐德宗李適), and the other is that Han Jian (韩翃) was a good wine drinker himself, and a lot of his poems were related to wine.
