Sports single recruit is the abbreviation of individual enrollment of some sports majors, which means that some colleges and universities approved by the Ministry of Education and the State Sports General Administration can enroll sports training, martial arts and traditional national sports independently (note: formerly known as traditional national sports).

Sports training majors include track and field, football, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tennis, handball, softball, baseball, hockey, swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo, rowing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, skills, weightlifting, judo and taekwondo. Rugby, figure skating, speed skating, short track speed skating, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, platform skiing, freestyle skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, curling, biathlon, Go, chess, mountain climbing, water skiing, motorboat and webbed swimming.

Wushu and national traditional sports majors include: Wushu routine, Sanda and Chinese wrestling.
