How to carry forward Confucianism

This is a big question, not the general shallow knowledge of Confucianism can reply. I am not sure how much I can learn, but I will try to discuss it.

First of all, there are two ways to think about it. Confucianism to carry forward, on the one hand, the real academic field, in the theory of thought, can form a new research paradigm, the formation of practical guidance value, the society, the times have inspired the meaning of the idea. This indispensably involves the issue of Western cultural context. Although we cannot escape the Western context, we need to develop our unique ideas through the interpretation of traditional culture, so as to reverse the hegemony of Western discourse in the future. Modern Neo-Confucianism is already doing this. They have had good results, but still need the efforts of our later scholars.

On the other hand, traditional Confucianism was not just a theory of knowledge, not an academic in the present sense. Traditional Confucianism is a whole day set of humanistic norms, through the social system, or other cultural forms, implemented in all aspects of social life, so as to play the role of organizing the entire social life, its function is similar to modern religion, but its nature is different from religion. In modern times, Confucianism is still established as a wandering soul and cannot play its role of social indoctrination and organization of social life. Therefore, what we need to do is to revive the mechanism of social indoctrination of Confucianism! For example, to revive the traditional rituals, to revive the folk academies, and to revive the tradition of free folk lectures. (Of course, most modern people think of ritualism as cannibalism, but this is not true. (Of course, many modern people consider Confucianism as cannibalism, which is actually not true. You can read Mr. He Lin's "A New Review of the Concept of the Five Lunas" written in 40 years.) In this way, Confucianism's role of educating the people can be slowly restored.

People can promote the Way, not the Way to promote people. Over the past 5,000 years, our culture has not been interrupted, but now we have become the world's weakest power of the most despised country, do not revitalize the traditional culture, do not promote Confucianism, there is no way feasible.
