The Significance of Tomb-Sweeping Day's Eating Qingming Fruit
Qingming Fruit, also known as Qingtuan, Bobobo (Fuzhou), Qingmingba (Jiangxi), Qingmingmo (Sichuan), Haoziba (Anhui), Ai Guo, etc. Is one of the special foods of Han nationality in southern provinces of China. The pericarp of Qingming fruit is green, made of wormwood or dogwood, which will soften and harden if left for a long time. There are two kinds of fillings, salty and sweet, which are ingot-shaped and round. The more important traditional festivals in China are Shangsi Festival and Tomb-Sweeping Day. Due to the lack of material resources in agricultural society, traditional festivals emphasize the culture of eating. Tomb-Sweeping Day is more important than Tomb-Sweeping Day (which gradually covers Shangsi Festival and Cold Food Festival), with rich diet, etiquette and family participation. Folk customs in Fujian and Taiwan are an integral part of Chinese culture. For example, in Fujian and Taiwan, Tomb-Sweeping Day's ancestor worship and eating Tomb-Sweeping Day were the main activities, which were also very popular in the ancient Central Plains.
