What is the architectural form of caves?

Although the architectural form of cave dwellings is very different from other dwellings, from the perspective of the spatial combination of houses, it still does not lose the pattern of traditional dwellings. Many caves use sunken courtyards and dig holes on three or four sides. The spatial relationship is very similar to quadrangles. In some places, cave houses and houses are mixed together to form a compound, and the stairs are arranged in the northwest corner of the compound. As far as the quadrangle is concerned, it still maintains the traditional quadrangle form (it should be a three-way quadrangle, and the house in the east is gone). The gate of the house is still in the southeast corner of the yard.
