Wuqiao Ancient Alcove Cultural and Creative Project is divided into three phases as follows.

1, the first phase was carried out in 2014-2015, mainly for the study and investigation of the ancient houses in Wuqiao, with the aim of protecting and passing on the traditional Fujian residential culture, including the house structure, building materials, and sculpture art.

2. The second phase was carried out in 2016-2017, mainly to carry out the cultural revival of ancient houses. Various ways were explored in practice, such as organizing the Ancient House Culture Festival and promoting local handicrafts and souvenirs.

3. The third phase was launched in 2018, mainly to turn Wuqiao Ancient Alcove into an "art town", with cultural and creative industries as the leading role, to develop the tourism economy, and improve the quality of life of local residents.
