White Agriculture in a Circular Economy

White agriculture is the application of the principle of recycling.

In April 2004, at the Second International Symposium on White Agriculture in Beijing, Chinese and foreign experts regarded microorganisms as "treasures" and gave them a new name: "white agriculture". The reason for utilizing microbial resources is that the world is facing serious challenges posed by population, resources and the environment. The traditional agriculture centered on soil and water is approaching or has reached a critical state of carrying capacity. This calls for seeking a new way out. In recent decades, China has made great achievements in the development of agricultural microbial energy - biogas. At present, the most typical application in rural areas is rural biogas, which produces biogas by microbial fermentation of human and animal manure, and agricultural wastes, to provide clean energy for farmers' production and living. The residue of biogas - biogas can replace pesticides, biogas residue can replace chemical fertilizers, is the vast rural development of safe and high-quality agricultural products indispensable and important conditions.
