The three religions have different origins. The teacher of the husband's family, quietness is the true Sect, and longevity is the avenue. As for enlightenment, it was not famous before the emperor and at the beginning of the mixed yuan dynasty. Reform yourself and break away from the law. Law, too, can steal the opportunity of heaven and earth, poor ghosts and gods, help national security and save life and death. This is out of Tao. Tao cannot be separated from law, and law cannot be separated from Tao. Only when Tao is consistent with law can we help the world. People who study Buddhism in modern times do not study the source of Taoism, but only participate in magic. I had no choice but to outline nine things and compile a book called Nine Essentials to serve as a warning to those who learn the Tao and enter the metaphysical gate. If they don't fall into a coma, everyone will get the Tao and everything will come true. Isn't that beautiful? Preface to Bai Yuchan, a Taoist priest in Qiongshan.
Stand first
People who study Taoism should take the lead. Self-shame leads to the extinction of human nature, burning incense every day and kowtowing to the three treasures of the emperor's father. Let's talk about the past and pray for a new right. Read classics, read metaphysics extensively, screen out the heart of killing and destroying things, be diligent in helping others, be diligent in doing good deeds, seek truth in everything, be strict in burning incense, be filial to parents, respect elders, act with dignity, purge yourself with dignity, don't have lust, don't wander in the streets, don't go near slaughterhouses, and don't kiss corpses. Peace of mind and body, away from evil factions. It is advisable to ask the teacher to visit Tao first, and invite the master. This is the beginning of a real man, so we should go this way.
Ask the teacher for the second place.
A person who learns Tao must meet a writer in order to truly understand Tao; Only when you meet a real teacher can you convert and preach the Dharma. It is necessary to speculate on its division a few days ago, appoint a smart manager, have a clear origin, and then be close, accumulate over time, and respect trust. The second time, I want to burn incense, swear to cut blood and drink Dan, teach Taoist books hidden tricks, metaphysics scriptures, and worship practice. Although I got it, I can't give it up. You always serve your master and follow everywhere. It is undoubtedly difficult to find the formula, which is naturally spiritual. Many people have heard of Gao Guzu's disciples. The teacher observes the disciples' hearts, and they are unwilling to do anything, insincere, unwilling to do, sick, sick, diligent and lazy. There are apprentices among them. If they are in harmony with their teachers and smell the same, they should improvise and those who get a degree should be ashamed. Don't be angry if you meet a disciple who is difficult to take the exam, or you don't get what you want halfway. Resentment begets resentment, and the teacher is guilty and has no loss. In the income method, god will be an official, not an assistant. I didn't hear that Sean of the Han Dynasty took part in Huang Shigong's trip to the mud bridge. Seeing sincerity, he handed out a plain book and later became a teacher. Ask for a teacher and be reasonable. Taoist teachers are always the same as disciples, and there is nothing magical about being a Taoist. As the saying goes, it is difficult for an apprentice to learn from a teacher, but it is true.
Keep the score third.
Between heaven and earth, food and clothing are naturally divided, so you should keep them sincerely. You should always feel ashamed and don't think about lust. The rich and the poor are all based on the past, so don't be jealous. The only way to learn is to have enough food and clothing. If you don't live up to your expectations, disaster will come. The so-called stefanie eats and drinks, in the mean lane, people will be worried if they can't bear it, and they will not change their fun when they go back. Yan Hui is a saint. If a scholar takes what he wants from the outside, it will be chaotic. If the Tao fails, the law should not. According to this practice, Buddhism is among them.
Fourth, keep the precepts
Those who hold their husbands should obey the Tao and observe the precepts. You can only do it if you know the end of the word. Learn to abstain and fast first, and the gods will naturally assist. Sa Zhenren said: Taoism is not easy for the body, and I shudder at the thought of abstinence. The Millennium Cycas is easy to blossom, but it is difficult to be born in Du Feng. I don't know that the real person burned the ugly temple, and his god followed around. 12 years have passed, and the real person has never violated the rules, and his god has also become an assistant. If a real man breaks the precepts, his God will retaliate. Today's people should not keep precepts, but should help the poor with kindness. Once upon a time, Xu Zhenjun of Jingyang was troubled by a sleepy man, and his family threw themselves at him. You heard about the cause of the disease, but it was because of poverty and frustration. Zhenjun sealed it with money and wished: this charm is given to the patient. At home, the patient gets money by opening a doctor's office, which makes him anxious and makes him recover. Giving alms to the poor will accumulate virtue, while those who do good deeds will make meritorious deeds, all out of carelessness. You can't look at each other. It's not a question of doing it or not. If the political achievements are full, the promotion can be expected.
Ming Dow ranks fifth.
People who are Taoist priests are blessed by the nine ancestors, living in a carefree place and a mysterious place. When they gather, they form, and when they disperse, they become the wind. The Jade Emperor talks with them, which does not belong to the five elements and transcends the three realms. This is a wonderful way to prove nothingness. To climb this road, we must first cultivate human nature, get rid of delusions, eliminate all six senses, and clearly establish the foundation of Xuanzang. You must divide the yin and yang into fire, such as a chicken holding an egg, and there is no way to get in and out. Successful learning does everything it can. It is a rare treasure when you are outside, so you can take it at will. When you are in a jade room and a golden building, you are conscious, angry and angry, serving ghosts and gods, anger can cure diseases, and you can think of it when you point a stone.
The sixth way of doing things
Practitioners understand the nature of yin and yang, the instruments of ghosts and gods, call for wind and thunder, pray for sunshine and rain, cast spells on water, cure diseases and exorcise evil spirits, accumulate virtue, be true to the Tao, and be extraordinary and sacred. Be sure to know the truth first, understand it clearly, and don't be suspicious. If you want to pray for sunshine to save the drought, you should first choose the places where Longtan River, Bihe Abyss and Yunlong haunt, write seals according to law and cast them with iron. If not, move the Raytheon from the Ministry of Law and set a date to use it at the altar. Praying for sunny days depends on sincere meditation, practicing God, calling out the God of Feng Yifeng's Ministry, sweeping away the clouds, swinging away the haze, and saving the people from suffering. If virtue is in harmony with nature, it should be ready-made. The way to exorcise evil spirits is to pay attention to your heart first, not to have delusions, but to examine the truth and falsehood. As the old saying goes, if you want to reduce evil, you should first reduce your own evil. When you sincerely call the generals, drive them away. If there are descendants with different surnames, those who smell the law and escape from sin will be sent to Raytheon for a tour. If you want to send a special gift, don't send it to Du Feng. If you don't do this, you may get into trouble. Be careful. If you treat a disease, you should carefully check its symptoms and signs and treat it with water. The essence of human beings lies between the triple energizer and the five internal organs. Shun leads to health, while reverse leads to disease. Or desire, or lack of brains. Therefore, the invasion of pathogenic factors will lead to illness, so I will use my true qi to clean the other party's pathogenic factors and my true yang to fight the other party's yin. If the patient is obsessed with heresy, counseling and water therapy can be carried out. Saving a life proves the immortal platform, but it is a wonderful fruit!
The first meaning is the seventh
People close to the line are sometimes ineffective. What is the reason why they should not be called? Those who practice the law for the first time are tired, but those who practice it are inferior. This is illegal, because scholars spread more extensive learning, which makes it impossible to purify and disperse Yuanyang. On the altar, god is not unified and the law does not take effect. I didn't hear Lao Tzu's cloud: the sky is high and the clouds are light, the ground is flat and the people are spiritual. Those who aspire to practice today must abide by one law and go to heaven and earth naturally. I don't know that keeping the mysterious and embracing the one is the best effort, but if you indulge in extensive knowledge, you can't be pure. Although the ancestors of Gaigu had a box of spiritual books, they left them to guide the fools and learn later. I didn't know that a teacher's heart had its own beauty. If you don't teach people what you see and hear, ghosts and gods don't know the opportunity. If you use it, you will feel it. And there are not many French seals. They are dedicated to a seal, a department and a general. They still live in peace, worship incense in the morning and evening, go in and out of power and prestige, be respectful, bless each other frankly, and naturally respond. Never doubt it, and never know nothing about it. It must be guarded with sincerity first to be effective. This is a good way to save one.
Du Ji is eighth.
People who study Taoism are sober-minded, don't like luxury, don't care about poverty, don't go with the flow, calm and natural, carefree and live in harmony. First of all, it plays the role of saving lives and benefiting things and people. In this way, you can redeem yourself, get rid of ghosts, worship your ancestors first, and then five ways. In my understanding, I feel the stagnation of the other; Use my truth to turn the other party into a mistake; Use my yang to refine the yin of others; Fill my hunger with my fullness; Super rise and fall, unlimited degree, economical and practical.
Follow the ninth attack
People who study Taoism should meet a master, teach secret methods, practice in the body and practice in the world. People admire it and finally learn to convert. Shame is not a trivial matter. When you know the grace of Yin and Yang in heaven and earth, Wang's parents raise it diligently, and the teacher preaches the benefits of the law, then Wang's parents and teachers are disrespectful. If you slow down a little, the truth will fail and the gods will not bless you. Tao and law are both in the body, and Tao becomes law. You can choose people, you can pay money, and you can't break the road. It must be ground every day, and only those who can pay can pay. If it wasn't for that person, you couldn't take it lightly, and you deserved it. If you are taught by others, but according to the origin of your ancestors, you can't add or lose words, and be loyal and filial. Do not give birth to my heart. Disciples who are teachers are the gods of heaven and earth, who are observant and have nothing to lose. Teachers are fake, so are disciples. If no one can do it, the stone box is hidden in the famous mountain and the Dragon Palace on the island, which is popular and naturally comes into being. It gives people a feeling of the biochemical grace of parents in heaven and earth and the virtue of teachers preaching and teaching, and writes their own gains into nine things for reference. Cultivate self-cultivation, accumulate merits and virtues, be above body and mind, be below others, be on the right path, and be extraordinary and refined. Father Yuchan, still wise as a fool, knows that people will inevitably get some bad habits in life. Therefore, he should use the transcendental realm of Taoism to set up a clean and bright mirror for life, always reflect on himself, find bad habits as early as possible, use the mirror of Taoism to shine on these dust, and realize that these bad habits hinder personal practice, so as to get rid of bad habits, dust off and stand on one's own feet. Therefore, these nine commandments are both earnest warnings and ardent expectations. The warning is aimed at bad habits, and the expectation is to believe that Taoist practice can help people overcome these bad habits.
The first principle of being a man is the basic moral character that a Taoist should possess. These truths seem easy to understand inadvertently, but when you calm down and taste, you will find that there are many interesting things that you have never realized before. The so-called "humanity in life" means that "I", as a person, is generated in the process of maximizing everything in the world. Being a man is a matter of course. Many people take it for granted, consciously or unconsciously. Why did Father Yuchan say "shame"? What is there to be ashamed of? The fun here is that as a person different from plants, animals and birds, he should have the consciousness of "I am a person". With such consciousness, we should demand ourselves according to the requirements of being a man, not as heartless as grass and trees, not as instinctive as birds and animals. Then, we will gradually realize the truth of being a man and understand that only people have the ability to distinguish good from evil, so we should cherish this ability, choose good and stay away from evil. The so-called "shame" is to keep this self-awareness from time to time and always think about what a person should achieve. According to such conscious awareness and requirements, talents will have an upward heart. Converting to the "Three Treasures" of Taoism is an expression of upward trend in life and a life choice after awakening consciousness. Since you have made such a choice, you will inevitably reflect on your past behavior and make your will to be good more clear. With this will, virtues such as being good at helping others, seeking truth in everything, being filial to parents and respecting teachers will take root in our hearts and become moral self-discipline, rather than external coercion.
The second is about the friendship between mentoring and preaching. Understand the view of Master Yuchan, that is to say, people are people, and people include both material life and spiritual life. Material life belongs to parents. From a distance, it is generated by the education of heaven and earth. At close range, it is the continuation of parents' life, so we should cherish it. Spiritual life is forged by social civilization, which is the favor of human civilization in the big sense and the inheritance of teachers' background in the small sense, so we should cherish it. Nanzong Taoism is one of the forms of human civilization and one of the sources of Tao Zhu's spiritual life. Therefore, disciples who have studied Nanzong Taoism should respect their teachers. On the surface, respecting teachers is somewhat different from emphasizing morality. Respecting teachers means respecting someone, and attaching importance to Taoism means advocating this belief and teaching. But from the most fundamental point of view, they are the same thing. The reason why a teacher should be respected is because he can preach and teach and enrich the spiritual life of his disciples, not because he is in the position of a teacher. It is for this reason that Father Yuchan warned disciples who wanted to teach Taoism that "they must find out their teachers a few days ago", that is, to inspect and choose teachers in advance. Believe and prove that he can preach and teach to solve doubts, and then "respect and believe" and learn from him unswervingly. On the other hand, the educated should thank the social civilization, especially the elders of past dynasties, for their spiritual life in Tao Zhu. Therefore, we should consciously take teaching Buddhism as our duty and responsibility, and choose a pure and sensitive seeker to teach Taoism, which is neither compatible nor demanding. In order to illustrate this truth, the founder of Yuchan gave an example, that is, Huang Shigong taught Sean's Art of War "Su Shu". Huang Shigong threw his shoes under the bridge three times. Sean didn't know he was a strange man with huge breasts, but he still picked them up from under the bridge again and again. Huang Shigong tried out Sean's pure mind, so he taught Su Shu, which made Sean the teacher of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty and the first counselor of the Han army in the Chu-Han War.
Third, be content, keep the way, and don't be greedy. Father Yuchan takes Yan Hui, a student of Confucius, as an example. Confucius once praised Yan Hui and said, "When you go back, you will get a meal and a ladle of water. A mean lane, people can't bear it, but they will be worried. When they return, they will not change their fun. " Yan Hui lived a poor life, lived in a humble alley, and had no food to eat. However, compared with those who are rich and worried, Yan Hui often has endless happiness. This kind of happiness means that if you are poor, you will change your mind and enjoy the happiness of Tao. There is a Tao in his spiritual world. He is always grateful for the clothes and food of poor life, and always holds a philosophical and appreciative attitude towards world life, so he can't be happy about things or sad for himself. As long as there is a way in your heart, you will not complain about your own experience, nor will you be jealous of the wealth of others, so that your heart and your spiritual world will be more open, tolerant and confident, and calm and self-reliant.
Fourth, the highest state of discipline is "out of carelessness, not taking pictures", that is, changing the heteronomy of discipline into moral self-discipline and subliming one's spirit in religious life. The descendants of Nanzong usually inherit two kinds of Taoism, one is the internal alchemy method, and the other is the thunder method used to pray for rain, disenchantment and demonization. To exercise these two methods, we must first fast and keep ourselves clean, otherwise facing the gods with filthy body and mind will only make ourselves condemned by the gods. Three conversions, five precepts and other precepts are the ethical bottom line of the daily behavior of Nanzong descendants; There are two forms of fasting, one is "Xing Zhai" and the other is "Xin Zhai". In the way of life, Xing Zhai is introverted, away from things that will disturb people's charity and compassion, so as to remain sensitive to the difference between good and evil in the depths of the soul and avoid being insensitive to the difference between good and evil. "Xin Zhai" is a kind of cultivation method to maintain mental health, and it is also a spiritual sublimation to discipline others. The key point of this method is to forget silence and be carefree, and practice the way of helping the world and others, but it does not praise merit and goodness, and does not aim at utility. From discipline to self-discipline, father Yuchan used two examples to illustrate. First of all, in the Northern Song Dynasty, Shen Xiao sent wizards to burn a fierce temple. The evil god followed the trump card 12 years and supervised it day and night. He never found that his trump card was beyond the precepts, so he finally surrendered. This is an example of a careful study of commandments. Secondly, Xu Xun, the founder of Jing Ming School in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, helped people to be poor and miserable, and he didn't ask for anything in return or show off himself. He was a model of sticking to the road with moral self-discipline.
The fifth article talks about cultivating inner elixir and verifying true fairy fruit. Nanzong Inner alchemy pays attention to both life and cultivation. Self-cultivation is to cultivate self-cultivation according to the principle of yin and yang creating everything. The steps of cultivation include three stages: refining qi, refining qi and refining spirit to deficiency. This is the method of repairing life, which was said by Yuchan's father. The cultivation of nature is to work hard on the mind, purify the spiritual world of people through cultivation, and realize the eternal and infinite Tao with the limited body in this life, which is what the founder of Yuchan called "the wonderful method to prove nothingness."
Sixth, we should use magic sincerely to save people's suffering. The magic of Nanzong is mainly Lei Fa. The method of holding thunder should be based on the cultivation of Inner Dan. Theoretically, it is believed that a person's body moves in yin and yang, which is the same as the principle of heaven and earth. Therefore, after practicing holding thunder, you can sincerely feel the changes of yin and yang in heaven and earth, so as to pray for sunshine, rain and wind and thunder. Father Yuchan has a book about Leifa, but he even emphasizes that Taoist priests who practice Leifa must take the purpose of saving the suffering of the people, that is, "moral harmony", that is, praying for heaven and earth and touching the gods with a pure heart. For the descendants of Nanzong, holding thunder is not only a way to establish their own merits, but also a way to improve their moral cultivation.
Seventh, practice should be based on inner sincerity, which should not be disturbed by pursuing erudition and showing off knowledge. Taishi Gong Sima Tan once said: "Taoism makes people single-minded, dynamic and intangible, and supports everything." The western Ascension classic says, "If you can know one thing, everything will be over." Knowing one thing, keeping one thing, and persisting in one thing are not only the spiritual cultivation of Taoism, but also the extremely bright way for Taoism to control complex situations. According to Taoism, things in the world are always complicated and changing rapidly in terms of phenomena, but in essence, they are unified or single. Complex phenomena are like the branches and leaves of a tree, and the essence of things is like the roots and stems of a tree, which is the fundamentals. If you master the root of things, you will master the unity of things or the same principle, and master the eternal way in the ever-changing process. Knowing one thing, keeping one thing and holding one thing is to master the Tao. Of course, mastering Tao is not empty talk, but a spiritual realm and a theoretical method. Many Taoist scriptures describe the way to reach this spiritual realm, and learn this theoretical method. However, it is precisely because there are too many Confucian classics accumulated for thousands of years that they distract learners, so that some learners are greedy for more and seek more, and their inner sincerity is disintegrated by miscellaneous and multifaceted knowledge, so they are not getting closer and closer to the Tao, but getting farther and farther. Yuchan's father's admonition is to overcome this abuse and guide the descendants of Nanzong to always adhere to the original instruction in the Tao Te Ching written by Taishang Laojun, and to keep the mysterious and embrace the one as the most important work.

The fundamental purpose of these Taoists and Taoists is to benefit others and the world.
Ninth, treat heaven and earth, parents, teachers, friends, all people and things with gratitude, and don't complain. According to the religious meaning of Nanzong, anyone who can preach Nanzong Taoism is a person with "legal affinity". This "legal fate" is the result of concrete mentoring, and the conclusion is based on the universe and the parents of all beings. If there is one thing missing between heaven and earth and one thing loses its place, the "legal life" cannot be determined. It is precisely because of this doctrine that the founder of Yuchan warned the descendants of Dharma that anyone who met the master to teach the secret method should thank the fertile yin and yang of heaven and earth and the hard work of the king's parents. To treat all people and things with gratitude, we must first understand that everything and I are one, and we cannot separate ourselves from others. Only in this way can we "be above the body and benefit the characters", learn the selfless character protected by God, and be tolerant and upright.
