What should I do if I lose my desktop icon?
There is only the program name on the computer desktop, and the reason why there is no icon may be that the icon buffer file of Windows is damaged.
Delete icon buffer file
Start the Explorer program, enter the Windows folder, find a file named ShellIconCache, and delete it.
Restart Windows
Restart Windows, Windows will rebuild the icon buffer file, and the icons on the desktop will be restored.
Show desktop icon
Right-click the blank space of the desktop-arrange icons-display desktop icons.
Open the task manager
If the above method fails, open the task manager, click File → New Task, enter "explorer" in the opened new task dialog box, click "OK" button, and wait a moment to see the desktop icon.
