What is the blessing culture in China?

"Fu" is the most auspicious word in the eyes of China people, and "Fu culture" has a long history and is profound. The word "Fu" embodies the ethical feelings, life consciousness, aesthetic taste and religious feelings of Chinese culture for 5,000 years, from the deep cultural psychology to the external utensils system, from the home of ding food to the flow of inviting cars to sell pulp, from the pen end of literati to the bedside of the people.

Throughout the ages, there are different opinions about the connotation of "happiness". According to the Book of Rites, those who are blessed are also called shun.

In other words, "happiness" means smooth sailing and all the best. This is the earliest record of Fu. The origin of "Fu culture" can be traced back to the worship of stars in primitive society. In order to exorcise evil spirits and take refuge, ancestors prayed for good weather and abundant crops, and endowed them with extraordinary divinity and unique personality charm according to their own wishes.

Among the folk worship of "Fu", "Lu" and "Shou", "Fu Xing" most intensively reflects people's good wishes for happiness and pursuit of a happy life. With the development of history and the changes of the times, the scope of action extends from offering sacrifices to heaven to the real world.

Its external manifestation extends from tribal totem to all aspects of people's food, clothing, housing and transportation; Its inherent predictive significance extends from the simple appeal of intuitive and beautiful wishes to the culture that indicates auspiciousness, happiness, longevity, wealth, promotion and wealth, and children and grandchildren, thus forming a unique "blessing" culture in the national cultural phalanx.

The core of Fu culture is the concept of "Five Blessingg". The word "Five Blessingg" comes from The Book of Songs and Hong Fan.

Five Blessingg's first blessing is "longevity"; The second blessing is "wealth"; The third blessing is "Kangning"; The fourth blessing is "goodness"; Five Blessingg died of natural causes. Longevity means that life is not premature and life is long. Wealth is wealth and status. Kangning is healthy and peaceful. Virtue is kindness, generosity and serenity. Good death is knowing your own death in advance. At the end of his life, he left this world freely without any accident, physical illness or mind. People think that only such a life is perfect.

In feudal society, people of different classes and status had different understandings of happiness. For farmers, having their own land, planting in spring and harvesting in autumn, good weather and adequate food and clothing are blessings. Ordinary people have suffered from tyranny, war or famine all the year round, and it is a blessing to be safe and sound.

Businessmen often count gold as 2,000 yuan, which is rich and prosperous. Scholar bachelor's blessings are different. Ten years of cold window is bitter. Once a person arrives here, being the first is their greatest blessing. Old people regard health and longevity, children and grandchildren as the greatest blessing.

The ancients' understanding of happiness is both realistic and dialectical. Laozi expounded the blessing and curse with dialectical thought. Chapter 58 of Laozi contains "Misfortune and Blessing"; The language of blessing and misfortune. In other words, this disaster is relative to blessing.

A lost horse is a blessing in disguise. It's not good for the lost horse, but the lost horse came back and brought back some good horses. This is every dark cloud has a silver lining. And with respect to that pickup

The man who lost the Saiweng horse suddenly lost several horses. It's a blessing in disguise.

In fact, the meaning of "happiness" is very broad, including all good wishes and goals in secular life. We often talk about so-called auspiciousness, and we often refer to happiness. Therefore, auspiciousness can be interpreted as blessing.

The ancient book Zilin records: "It is also blessed to be true." The ancient book "Feng Jiao Zhan" also said: "Fortune foresees good fortune." In this way, happiness is a very important concept in our auspicious culture. With the development of society, the concept of blessing has been integrated into various folk activities.

Walking in Five Blessingg is an ancient blessing cultural activity, which has spread in Zhong Kui's hometown, the hometown of God of Wealth and Liu Hai's hometown since the Tang Dynasty. Zhong Kui's hometown Xi 'an is carved with five bats, which means "Five Blessingg". According to legend, people will be rejuvenated after stepping on five bats from big to small, and they will be as happy as the East China Sea. Step on five bats in order from small to large, and you will be blessed and precious.

Nuo dance "Dancing Five Blessingg" is a part of "Dancing Zhong Kui", also called jumping judgment. Generally, there are six jumps: Five Blessingg, Official, Flat Peach, Kuixing, God of Wealth and Dragon and Phoenix, that is, performing Fu Lushou's Nuo opera with western talents. It is an ancient folk cultural activity. I hope people will live a happy life and have endless blessings.

Every important festival, these areas should "jump Zhong Kui" to bless the town house and win the first place on the list; Zhong Kui is a miracle, bringing us a happy life! The ancient "Zhong Kui Dance" was performed with puppets on the shoulders, and later it was performed by Zhong Kui and paraded in the village.

When performing Five Blessingg, Zhong Kui's face was covered with purple and gold, with a long beard on his mouth, a black veil on his head, boots on his feet, gold and silver on his stomach, a purple robe on his body, a golden bat in his left hand, a seven-star sword in his right hand, and five bats leading the way, followed by a pholiota adiposa cover and a book wine waiter. Five Blessingg's Nuo dance mainly includes several passages, such as Zhong Kui's drop, Zhong Kui's tour, Zhong Kui's blessing and Zhong Kui's victory.

So, how to realize the five blessings? Or, where is the source of happiness in life? From the beginning, our ancestors combined the pursuit of happiness in life with the cultivation of personality and moral improvement. Not only did the original concept put forward that "Xiu De" was listed as one of the Five Blessingg, but also the pursuit of happiness was regarded as the highest realm of self-cultivation.

When talking about the meaning of "happiness", Confucius said: "Anger leads to forgetting food, while happiness leads to forgetting worries, and I don't know that the old days are coming." "A scoop of food, a scoop of drink, in the mean lane, people can't bear to worry, and they won't change their fun when they go back." The pursuit is the perfection of internal virtue, regardless of the richness of external life.

Mencius carried forward his teacher's view of happiness that a gentleman cares about Tao but not poverty, and further put forward the concept of "three pleasures" of a gentleman, expanding the pursuit of individual happiness to the social and moral level of "not ashamed of justice and not caring about people"

Since then, China's traditional life values of "putting morality first" and "praying with morality" are destined to form the core quality of China's "blessing" culture.
