The Change of Bakin's Novel Writing Style in the 1940s

After the 1940s, with the broadening of the vision of life and the development of thought, Bajin's understanding of real life deepened, and his creative outlook underwent a relatively obvious change. Compared with the past, Bajin's works maintain the original basic spirit and style characteristics, but also have a new exploration and new performance. This is mainly reflected in the gradual dimming of the color of heroism, the passion of resistance and the future of society gradually convergence, patriotism and humanitarianism more and more to promote the spirit of the old society, the old system of the revelation of more and more deep and subtle. In terms of artistic expression, the deep and depressing accusation replaced the cry of resistance, and the objective description of the phenomenon of life itself full of feelings replaced the direct outpouring of the writer's subjective passion. All these not only made Bakin's works in the forties more rich in realism, but also made him reach a new level of ideological and artistic exploration in line with the main trend of the times and literature. After 1947, Bakin experienced a period of silence never seen since he embarked on the path of literature. On May 27, 1949, Ba Jin welcomed the liberation of Shanghai with excitement, and in July he was invited north to attend the Congress of All-China Literary and Art Workers. In July, he was invited to go north to attend the Congress of All-China Literary and Artistic Workers, where he was elected as a member of the National Committee of the All-China Federation of Literary and Artistic Circles, and a standing member of the All-China Association of Literary Workers.
