Legends, stories and customs in Chengdu
Legend 1: During the Qin and Han Dynasties, Chengdu developed economically and culturally.
In 3 16 BC, the state of Qin annexed Bashu.
In 3 1 1 BC, Zhang Yi and Sima Cuo, who were guarding Chengdu at that time, set out to build the wall of Chengdu.
It is said that when Zhang Yi built the city, it was repeatedly built and collapsed. Later, "there was a chinemys reevesii floating on the river". According to the guide, Zhang Yi built a city along the route of turtle crawling, and it was really successful, so Chengdu was also called turtle city.
From the Jin Dynasty Gambao's Sou Shen Ji (Volume XIII), in the twenty-seventh year of Qin Huiwang, Zhang Yi established his capital and collapsed repeatedly.
Suddenly, a chinemys reevesii floated on the river and died in the southeast corner of Dongzicheng.
Ask the wizard with an instrument.
The wizard said,' Make it according to a turtle.
Do it.
Therefore, it was named "osmanthus city".
Chuan Fa 2: When Zhang Yi built the wall of Chengdu, it was originally built according to Xianyang City in Qin Dynasty, but it was repeatedly built and collapsed. Later, a chinemys reevesii floated in the river. Inspired by the pattern on the turtle's back, Zhang Yi reconstructed and designed the Chengdu city wall, which never collapsed.
Turtle has always been a symbol of good fortune and longevity in Chinese traditional culture, and it is one of the four spirits. Xuanwu among the four gods also has the image of a turtle.
Although the meaning was misinterpreted by a netizen somewhere, it exposed the collective ignorance of some netizens somewhere. Of course, deliberate misinterpretation is also linked to personal qualities.
Thousands of years of cultural precipitation is beyond your reach.

2. Huaying Temple
According to legend, there is a Buddhist disciple in Huashan, Pengxian County, who is very compassionate and rides a donkey without urging.
After his success, the good man and the loyal daughter built a temple for him and named it "Hua Zushi".
There is also a temple in Chengdu, near the eastern suburb.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the temple was occupied by the army as a military camp. My buddies bought land in Sanguantang Street in Waidong to build a new temple and carved stone pillars as sacrifices.
When Chengcheng Middle School was founded, it rented its auditorium as an auditorium, which has not changed so far. This is the nineteenth middle school in Chengdu now.

3. Flower archway
According to legend, Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty was a gifted scholar in Luo Zhi.
The scholar, who lives in Ximen Street, Chengdu, took part in the county administration exam in the spring, and all failed in Sun Shan, frustrated.
One day, when he was drinking tea leisurely in a tea shop, he saw a beggar reaching out and felt sorry for her, so he gave her the only five pence and asked her to buy steamed bread.
The woman who called immediately thanked him and said, You are a talented person, but you should work hard to gain a reputation.
Hua Ruchun was inspired by the call of Hua Po, so she picked up the scroll and studied it day and night.
One night, he was very sleepy and fell asleep on several boxes. In the dream, he called Huapo to enlighten him. Hua Ruchun looked at the examination paper when she arrived in Beijing for the exam. If the examination paper is within the scope of Spring and Autumn Annals, he wrote a wonderful political article about caring for the people and protecting the family, which won the examiner's great joy and presented it to Zhu Yuanzhang, who ordered Hua Ruchun to flatter him to show his majesty's kindness.
During his tenure in this province, Hua Ruchun went deep into the people, understood their sufferings, played a strategy of reducing taxes and corvee, and persuaded farmers to love the people, which was praised and implemented by Zhu Yuanzhang and achieved remarkable results.
Yu Hua's contribution is impressive. Chengdu prefect played Zhu Yuanzhang's role in building a memorial archway with a flower name, which shows that flowers bloom like spring.
Zhu Yuanzhang was named after his quasi-playing.

4. Customs:
Straw sandals: Maybe in some scenic spots, you can see some old women.
They put a small basket on the side of the road, filled with sandals, holding a semi-finished product in their hands, and didn't ask anyone to buy it. They just sit by themselves, waiting for the guests to come.
In the old Chengdu era, there were many straw sandals.
Chengdu has been the granary capital since ancient times, with a large number of straw, wheat, straw seedlings and straw mats. There is no shortage of raw materials for playing straw sandals, building straw houses, weaving straw hats, tying goods and weaving straw mats.
Often before dawn, they sit in the small courtyard dam at home with stools. Men go out to farm, and women stay at home to play sandals.
Especially in rural areas, people use local materials and directly weave straw shoes, inheriting many skills of playing straw shoes, and even opening characteristic shops.
Men, women, all sizes, they are very clear in their hearts.
Valet service: In addition to repairing bamboo, buckets and sandals, the service in old Chengdu can be described as meticulous. You think all you can think of are water sellers, grinders and masons. In fact, there are many admirable services, such as this "valet service".
This can be said to be a new thing that many Chengdu people have never heard of.
The restaurant doesn't charge any fees. For the convenience of customers, the cold rice is heated with soup sent by customers.
If customers bring money, buy them some side dishes for dinner.
This kind of business is usually done for greedy people who lack livelihood in Chengdu, and the human touch in the package is really warm.
There is an industry in an era, and "taking meals on behalf of customers" has disappeared in Chengdu today, but it has long since disappeared.
5. Rongcheng
Rongcheng is the Chengdu of Sichuan, also known as Jinguancheng, Jincheng and Rongcheng.
Because the emperor of Shu favored hibiscus flowers and ordered the people to plant hibiscus flowers all over the city wall, Chengdu was also called "Furong City", that is, the foundation was unstable and collapsed many times when the city was first built. Later, a tortoise appeared to lead the way to build the city. The route guided by the tortoise was a hibiscus flower, which gave birth to the city.
Speaking of "protecting the city with hibiscus", Meng Changjun, the king of Shu, ordered hibiscus to be planted everywhere in Tucheng, Chengdu, in order to protect the city wall. Whenever the hibiscus blooms in September, it looks like embroidery from a distance, and the city is full of splendor, so it is called Furong City.
The most accepted and widely circulated version is this: Since the Tang Dynasty, Chengdu has held a grand flower market every February in the lunar calendar.
According to legend, February 15th of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Baihua, which is called "Flower Dynasty".
Chengdu Flower Market is conveniently held around the Flower Dynasty, which is the positive period of the flower market.
Every February, Chengdu becomes an ocean of flowers.
Hundreds of flowers gather in the flower city, competing to open up and compete for beauty, making the whole ancient capital enchanting and gorgeous.
Such a beauty contest is really dazzling.
At this time, five generations later, Mrs. Hua Rui, the princess of Shu, turned back from the flowers and found hibiscus in it.
Lotus is rolling in the sky like a colorful cloud, which surprises Mrs. Hua Rui.
She likes this beautiful flower, which makes her feel very happy.
However, flowers are always short-lived, and beauty will soon die. In the humid weather in Chengdu, Mrs. Hua Rui is often depressed.
Autumn is coming, and Mrs. Huarui takes her entourage to have an outing to relieve loneliness.
Walking to the front yard of the farmhouse, she was surprised to find that in this autumn in first frost, even the determined chrysanthemums have withered, but there are still such clusters of flowers blooming.
She remembered that this was the hibiscus she saw in the flower dynasty, and Mrs. Huarui's face was rippling with joy that she had never seen before.
The entourage around him saw all this and reported it to Meng Changjun, the king of Shu. Meng Changjun was overjoyed and ordered the people to plant hibiscus trees in the gardens of the whole city.
So when the flowers bloom next year, Chengdu will be a 40-mile hibiscus, and from then on it will have the reputation of Furong City.
Later, after the demise of Shu, Mrs. Huarui was swept into the harem by Song Taizong Zhao Guoyin.
Mrs. Hua Rui often misses Meng Chang and secretly treasures his portrait to show her miss.
After Zhao Guoyin knew it, he forced her to hand over the portrait.
However, Mrs. Hua Rui refused, and Zhao Guoyin killed her in a rage.
Later generations admired Mrs. Hua Rui's loyalty to love, regarded her as the Lotus God and called her "the flower of love".
Chengdu people's love for hibiscus flowers is related to this ancient legend.
They abandoned the theory of "tortoise painting hibiscus" and "hibiscus protecting the city", and talked about the legend of Mrs. Huarui, which was enough to show the romantic feelings of Chengdu people pursuing loyal love.
Extended data:
