Grape planting methods and techniques

Grape planting methods and techniques;

1, seedling selection

The quality of grape seedlings directly affects the fruit setting rate of grapes, so when selecting seedlings, we should choose full and strong seedlings with developed roots, well-preserved and no pests and diseases. It is also necessary to choose suitable grape seedlings according to the local climate characteristics.

2, seedling treatment

After the grape seedlings are selected, they should be pruned accordingly. More than three whole buds should be reserved according to the seedlings, and the lateral branches should be cut to about 15cm. The pruned grape seedlings should be soaked in clear water to allow the seedlings to absorb enough water, and disinfection should be done before planting.

Step 3 cover with plastic film

In order to shelter from the wind and rain, black plastic film can be used to cover the greenhouse to keep the ground temperature and humidity, reduce the growth of weeds and improve the growth rate of grapes. After the grape seedlings are planted, it is necessary to check the survival of the seedlings regularly and do a good job of replanting.

Step 4 apply fertilizer

After half a month, when the grape seedlings grow 7-8 new leaves, they start topdressing. The main topdressing in the early stage is nitrogen fertilizer, which can promote the vigorous growth of grape seedlings and accelerate the formation of plants. Pay attention to the concentration when applying fertilizer, so as not to burn the seedlings and hurt the roots. Do a good job of watering after fertilization. If the grapes are found to grow vigorously, stop using nitrogen fertilizer and start topdressing potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer.

Conditions required for grape planting:

1, temperature

It only needs the lowest temperature of 15 degrees, which is the spring temperature in most areas. So, if you are interested, you can choose to plant it in spring, that is, when it germinates.

Step 2: Moisture

Grapes have a high demand for water, and they need a lot of water in the early stage of growth and development. At the late stage of fruiting, because the root system is not weak, the water demand is greatly reduced, so you can't water too much. Otherwise, if the humidity is too high, the vines will grow wildly without fruit, which will easily lead to diseases such as black pox and gray mold.

3. Lighting.

Grapes also have certain requirements for light, because grapes are a plant. If you just want it to look like a shed, you just need to give enough water and a certain amount of base fertilizer. Because it is a vine, you should take it seriously if you want to eat grapes. Because the normal growth of grapes needs a certain intensity of sunshine, if the sunshine is insufficient, it will cause the grapes to fall out of flower or grow wildly without fruit.
