Why is Putuo Mountain in Nanhai 80% Quanzhou, and I didn't understand until I finished reading it?

In the distant childhood memory, my mother took me to Mount Putuo once. For young me, what impressed me most was the sea and mountains in Putuo, so pure and spectacular. When I grow up and make money, my mother often tells me: When I make money, I must go to Putuo Mountain to make a wish, not for wealth, but for family happiness. Guanyin bodhisattva can see everything.

House match two proposed marriage.

The marriage in Fusang Temple is very effective.

It is said that in the largest statue of Guanyin in Fossett Hall, tell the Bodhisattva his name, place and time of birth, and then tell Guanyin his wish. Within a few months after you return, your dream will come true!

The ancient camphor trees in Putuo Mountain are covered with "wishes"

the Goddess of Mercy

There is also a special statue of Guanyin in Fossett, which refuses to go to Guanyin. It can be said that it is precisely because of this efficacious Guanyin statue that Putuo Mountain has always been called Guanyin Dojo.

According to legend, in the 12th year of the Tang Dynasty, Hui 'e, a Japanese monk, came to China to study, and when she made a pilgrimage to Wutai Mountain, she got a statue of Guanyin. He was going to return home by boat from Mingzhou, and when he was approaching Silla Reef in the east of Putuo Mountain, hundreds of iron lotus flowers suddenly appeared on the sea, blocking the boat's way. Despite many efforts, Tielianhua resisted the ship and could not travel. Knowing that Guanyin refused to leave China, monk Hui Calyx said, "If all living beings in China can't see the Buddha, we must build a refined house in our direction." . Hui 'e then got on the boat, left a statue of Guanyin here and built a temple.

The allusion of "refusing to go to Guanyin"

Later, it was called "Putuo" because "Hua Yan Jing" had the auspicious voice of Putuo Luojia's visit. Since then, Putuo Mountain has become a Dojo dedicated to Guanyin, commonly known as "South China Sea".

Top Buddha needs to climb the top mountain of Buddha.

On the way to Foding Mountain in Putuo, you can often see those kind and sincere men and women. Wearing knee pads, they climbed the stairs along the mountain road and rapped in the direction of the Buddha. They said a word without hesitation, and finally worshipped the church, and their merits were complete. Looking at their calm but firm eyes, I can't help but marvel at the spiritual power of faith!

Three steps and nine worships into the hall

The Baizi Hall of Huiji Temple asks for a son.

Huiji Temple, located at the top of Shan Ye, always feels like a paradise. The Baizitang is the best place to ask Guanyin for a son. As early as the "Baizian" period of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, there were countless examples of Antang Guanyin's "responsive".

After Jason and Nana got married, they were photographed by the media begging for incense alone in the ancient philosophers' hall. However, if it is a child, it is more effective for husband and wife to go together!

Fayu Temple seeks peace.

Another famous temple in Putuo Mountain is Fayu Temple, ranking second in the country. It is also known as the third temple of Putuo Mountain together with Fosaiji and Huiji Temple in Foding Mountain. The plaques of "Tianhua Fayu" and "Fayu Temple" in the temple were left by the Qing court when it gave Jin to repair the temple in the 38th year of Kangxi (1699).

Nanhai Guanyin

According to local villagers, 1997, when Guanyin in Nanhai opened, the sky was overcast. When the Miao Shan monk said that the opening ceremony was officially started, a hole was suddenly opened in the sky, and a golden light shone from the hole, which just shone on Guanyin in the South China Sea.

It's really difficult to explain such weather wonders scientifically. The TV station also photographed the scene at that time; I also heard that Buddhist karma people were present and even saw Guanyin in the air. This is really a wonderful and incredible thing.

Putuo Mountain attaches great importance to worshipping Buddha.

Correct incense posture: hold incense to the height of eyebrows with both hands, hold the end of incense with both thumbs, and aim the end of incense at your eyebrows.

At the top of the incense, aim at the Buddha statue, keep this posture and say to yourself:

(1) The name of the Buddha and Bodhisattva I greeted myself. Like "? O Be merciful to avalokitesvara ",pay attention to buddhas and bodhisattvas or silently incense them:" May this fragrant cloud spread in ten directions, support the three treasures, protect the dragon sky, enlighten all living beings and join the Buddha wisdom "(* This is a professional way of incense, which is more suitable for people working in temples).

(2) Insert incense into the incense burner, then go back to the Buddha, kneel on the worship mats on both sides of the Buddha, cross your hands, tell the Buddha what you want to say, then worship three times, get up and ask questions, and then leave. Professional Buddhist temple staff can leave with incense after reading incense and insert incense in designated places; Such as the dining table, the hall of death and so on.

Other delicacies

1, please incense: shopping in other places can be called buying, and buying incense in temples is called "please"; Incense stands for "abstinence, determination and wisdom", and burning incense for Buddha means making a vow to "practice hard to quit wisdom and eliminate greed and ignorance". So usually at most three sticks of incense.

2, incense: go to the place where incense is burned, don't go to the place where incense is inserted, and don't try to light it with your own lighter;

3, left and right: please use your left hand to incense, Buddhism believes that your left hand is the cleanest, and then respectfully insert your right hand into the incense burner;

4. Gate: No matter which temple or buddhist nun, you can't enter through the main gate. That's for my family;

5. Mat: Choose a mat for kowtowing, and don't think that the middle one must be the best, which is also for monks;

6. Palm: When you worship Buddha, your hand feels upward, which is a respect for Buddha. Palm down is ancestor worship;

7. Make a wish: Remember to tell the Buddha your name, where you live, what you want, and where to make a wish after your wish is fulfilled; No matter which temple they go to, most believers will kowtow and make a wish, but they really don't know what Buddha and Bodhisattva want. If we don't know which Buddha and Bodhisattva we are asking for, how should the Buddha and Bodhisattva respond? Therefore, when you bow down, please know the names of Buddha and Bodhisattva.

8. Wish: As long as the heart is sincere, there is spirituality. However, if you burn incense and make a wish every time you go to the temple, once it works, you forget to make a wish, which is not a good thing. I suggest you burn incense and worship Buddha everywhere to show your respect. But if you like, choose one or two buddhas.
