It is accurate to describe the characteristics of Arabic poetry.
The earliest known Arabic poetry was written during the Bassos War (about 500 AD). Because these poems have been perfected in metrical form and theme content, it is reasonable to think that Arab poems originated in an earlier period.
There are 16 rhythms in Arabic poetry, and each rhythm has many forms. Arabic melody is a long melody composed of long and short syllables. Its short syllable consists of a consonant and a short vowel; Long syllables are divided into two categories: (1) consists of a consonant and a long vowel; (2) Consists of a consonant, a short vowel and another consonant.
Although the inflections of ancient Arabic in modern Arabic have disappeared, the melody of spoken Arabic today is still based on these long and short syllables.
