Posting door gods is a Chinese New Year custom in Gansu, Weifang in Shandong, Tianjin, Zhangzhou in Fujian, Hunan, Henan and Suzhou.
Most of the door gods are finished products, mostly in color, and feel like printmaking styles, roughly A3 in size. Although there are types of door gods such as exorcism, blessing, religion, martial arts and so on, the types of door gods in Gansu are mostly martial arts, most of them are Qin Shubao, Yuchi Jingde, and there are also door gods such as Zhong Kui, etc.?
The symbolism of the door god, mainly to protect the peace, that is, the Division of the door guarding the gods, folk beliefs of the guard gateway deity, people will be its idol on the door to drive away evil spirits, guard the family home, to protect the peace and help the merit, drop auspicious, etc., is a popular folk guardian deity. The time of sticking door gods is basically the same as sticking couplets, that is, on the day of New Year's Eve before the Spring Festival, before noon, every household will stick couplets and door gods.

The Door God's birthday is the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar calendar, and in Chinese folklore, the Door God is often worshipped and posted at the main entrance during the Chinese New Year (with the person who enters the door as the point of view, on both sides of the door, and with the Door God's face in the picture seen as the correct traditional posting, or the other way around, the "wrong Door God" as it is known among Chinese folklore). The other way around is the Chinese folk custom of "posting the wrong door god".
