The traditional flute is made of two bamboo tubes sleeved together. The upper tube is 25.7 cm long, 2 cm in diameter, with an oval blowing hole and a width of 1.5 cm. The lower tube is 28.7 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter. There are thirteen keyhole on the tube. Most of them are F or G keys. The range is c 1—a3(bB= 1). The tone is soft and round. Used for solo, ensemble or accompaniment.

[Bass flute] has the same shape as the treble flute. The total length of the tube is 74.7 cm, the length of the upper tube is 34 cm and the length of the lower tube is 40.7 cm.
