What does northern China mean?
The northern region is dominated by plains, with both plateaus and mountains. Northeast Plain and North China Plain are the largest and most complete plains in China. Northeast Plain is located between Daxing 'anling, Xiaoxing 'anling and Changbai Mountain, and is mainly composed of Songnen Plain, Sanjiang Plain and Liaohe Plain. North China Plain is located at the southern foot of Yanshan Mountains, east of Taihang Mountain, north of Huaihe River and east of the ocean. North China Plain is an alluvial plain formed by sediment deposition carried by the Yellow River and Haihe River in geological history.
Now many people understand the north as the area north of Hubei, including Xinjiang, Tibet and Qinghai. Because not many people will pay attention to these details.
