What is the process of film invention?

Crystallization of photosensitive technology

-1923 the invention of color film 1923, Gorschi and manis made the world's first color film. The film faithfully records the fragments of human life and becomes a permanent memorial for people. Kodak Company of the United States promoted the birth and development of color film, and Kodak film became popular all over the world. Nowadays, people widely use color photos in professional photography and family life photography.

In shopping malls and photo studios, Kodak, Fuji, Le Kai and other brands of color films can be seen everywhere. It adds a lot of fun to our life. However, do you know how color movies were born?

After the invention of the camera, the film was born. As early as 1826, the first camera appeared in the world, which was the "masterpiece" of Frenchman Nipps. It was born out of the black box of a portable drawing instrument in the17th century, and it looks a bit heavy. Clever Nipps made some changes to the camera box, added a lens, aperture and ground glass, and made a camera. Nipps spent eight hours outdoors with a homemade camera and took the world's first photo. He gave it a nice name, called "Daylight Painting".

Later, he and another inventor, Daguerre * * *, invented the silver plate photography method, that is, a copper plate embedded with silver was placed on the plate containing iodine, and a layer of silver iodide was formed on the surface of the copper plate with iodine vapor, thus becoming a photosensitive plate. After exposure with a camera, the plate is steamed with heated mercury vapor, and the exposed silver iodide condenses the mercury vapor. The stronger the light, the more condensed it is, so the image gradually appears on the negative, and the negative is soaked in salt solution. This may be the origin of the original film.

More than 50 years later, george eastman, an American, invented a transparent film, which can be sensitive to light and used as a photographic negative. The idea of inventing color film was originally put forward by Kuhn Schuzel, but it was not realized because of the immature technology. Since then, several scientists in Germany have joined the research in this field, but they all fell short and failed to achieve practical results.

Kodak color film was born in 1923, and the inventors were L. Gorschi and L. Mannis. When they were studying in new york, they became interested in photography, so they conducted many experiments together. When Mannis entered Harvard University and Gortzky entered the University of California, he still used his vacation to study together and began to consider making films in various colors. At first, they studied the double-layer and multi-layer color film, then changed their direction and studied the three-layer and multi-layer color film. By 1923, they finally made the first photo containing various colors.

In the research process, they got the help of Dr. Smith from Kodak Company in Heismann, USA, and solved the method of controlling the developer diffusion in the development process, which played a decisive role in the trial production of Kodak color film. 1953, with the assistance of personnel from Kodak research institute, Mannis and Gortzky found a method for mass production of Kodak color film. Hymanskodak Company sells this product under the trade name "Kedakram".

Today, Kodak film has become a popular commodity all over the world and has entered thousands of households. With the improvement of professional photography requirements, some high-definition films suitable for different needs are constantly emerging. 1982 In February, Kodak Company of the United States announced the birth of a new photographic photosensitive material-film disc. It is a rotatable thin-film hard disk, slightly thicker than the traditional thin film and made of stearin. Due to the adoption of a new photographic emulsion, this emulsion is suitable for photography under various complicated conditions and the effect is very good.

Nowadays, color film is widely used in professional photography and family life photography. Photos record the changes of life, but a film is the crystallization of human scientific research.
