Nanjing Brocade is a traditional silk handicraft in China, known as "Golden Brocade". Its history can be traced back to 4 17 (13th year of Yixi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty), and it has a history of 1600 years since the official department of brocade management was established in Guodu Jiankang (now Nanjing). At present, only Yunjin still maintains its traditional characteristics and unique skills, and has always retained the traditional jacquard weaving. This traditional handicraft skill woven by human memory is irreplaceable by modern machines.
Yunjin is named for its bright color and beauty like clouds in the sky. It has exquisite materials, exquisite weaving, exquisite patterns, gorgeous brocade patterns and elegant style. It is developed on the basis of inheriting the excellent tradition of brocade in past dynasties, and also combines the valuable experience of other silk weaving techniques, reaching the peak of silk weaving technology, and is known as the "crown of brocade", which is the brilliant crystallization of China silk culture.
