Pressed Laminated Bow Edit

Pressed laminated bow, is a collective term for a class of bows that are categorized by their craftsmanship. The process is characterized by a bow back made of different materials laminated together. The advantages of laminated are the high rebound efficiency and the fact that the shape of the back of the bow can be adjusted as needed.

Traditional laminated bows

are generally made from layers of horn, wood, and tendon bonded together. Several of the more famous bows from ancient times used this process. The bows that came out of this process had a high rate of fire, but the production cycle was long and they could not be mass-produced.

Modern ply bows

Generally called glass-wood-glass or glass-wood-wood-glass, are two layers of glass sandwiched between a layer of wood or two layers of wood, using epoxy resin adhesive bonding, and shade-drying for 72 hours, and in the process of shade-drying, the back of the bow should be continuously and evenly applied pressure, in order to ensure the quality of the bow. The size of the laminate generally used is 40*1.5*1200 (unit: mm), relative to the traditional lamination, modern lamination efficiency is slightly inferior, but can adapt to high-volume industrialized production.
