What is biological control?

Biological control is a method to control plant pathogens, pests and weeds by using organisms and their metabolites. This is a study. The essence of natural enemy control is to adjust the population density of pests by using the interspecific and intraspecific relationships of organisms, that is, biological control mainly includes four aspects:

(1) pest control, that is, using predatory and parasitic insects such as aphids, lions, lacewings, parasitic bees and ladybugs to control pests;

(2) Microorganisms control pests, that is, bacteria, fungi, viruses and their metabolites (toxins, etc.) and other insect pathogenic microorganisms. ) used to control pests;

(3) biological control of plant pathogens, that is, using microorganisms or their metabolites (anti-biomass, etc.). ) control plant pathogens (including pathogens in soil);

(4) Biological control of weeds, that is, using phytophagous insects and pathogenic bacteria parasitic on weeds to control weeds. The contents of biological control of plant pathogens, pests and weeds are different, but they all use the interspecific relationship of organisms, which conforms to the law of mutual restriction and interdependence among organisms. As long as we master and use this subtle relationship between organisms, we can control the harm of pests and diseases and promote agricultural and forestry production.
