Character history of Tetsufumi Kamiya

June 6, 1981: Born in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.

1993: Joined the Origami Detective Group (Japan Origami Crafts Society).

1999: Participated in the TV Champion 3rd Origami King Contest and won.

2000: Participated in the 4th King of Origami Contest of TV Champion and won the championship.

2002: Participated in the fifth Origami King Contest of TV Champion and won the championship.

2003: "Legend of Paper - Thousand Paper Cranes", Namioka Chusei no Yakata Museum, Aomori, Japan;

"Masterpieces of Origami Craftsmanship ", International Folk Art Museum, San Diego, USA.

October 2004: Participated in the 6th King of Origami Contest, TV Champion, and won the championship.

2005: A collection of Tetsufumi Kamiya's works was published.

2006: Toured Central America and the Caribbean (Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago) with the support of the Japan Foundation for International Exchange and gave lectures and demonstrations.

2007: Traveled to New York to participate in the American Origami Society Convention.

2008: Toured Canada with the support of the Japan Foundation for International Exchange and gave lectures and demonstrations.

March 2008: Participated in the TV King of Champions Origami Contest and won the championship.
