What are the typical residential houses in China?

China is a big family with 56 nationalities. People of all nationalities have been living on the Chinese land for generations and are distributed in different areas. Due to the different cultures, customs, natural conditions and geographic environment of each ethnic group, the layout, structure and shape of the houses in which they live are also different. The following are some examples of classic houses.

1, Huizhou houses

Huizhou houses are mostly built on the mountains and by the water, and the rich and varied colors of roofs and mountain walls, gray tiles and white walls are one of the characteristics of Huizhou architecture.

2, Dai Bamboo Building

Bamboo building is a dry-roofed house built with bamboo and wood. Xishuangbanna has a tropical monsoon climate with heavy rainfall, so people use dozens of wooden pillars to elevate the houses off the ground to prevent moisture from attacking the human body.

3, kiln

People use earth cliffs to dig out horizontal caves to build houses. Kiln roof is generally arched, kiln mouth commonly used adobe or brick masonry. Kilns are simple in structure, warm in winter and cool in summer, and are the characteristic residential architecture of the Loess Plateau of China.

4, a seal residential

"A seal" belongs to the triad-style residential, consisting of the main house and rooms, the whole house looks like a square seal. This kind of house is mostly found in Yunnan, Anhui and other places.
