What is the firewood dance in the national performance?
Firewood dance, called "Zhuanzha" in Li language, is one of the oldest and most popular dances of Li nationality, which originated from the funeral activities of Li nationality in quaint areas. With the changes of the times, the custom of jumping firewood has gradually spread and evolved among Li people. Nowadays, it has become a kind of sports fitness activity with national cultural color, which has spread rapidly at home and abroad and has been praised as "a rare aerobics in the world" by foreign friends. On June 2, 2006, the State Council approved the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list determined by the Ministry of Culture to be officially announced to the public, and Sanya firewood dance was officially included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
