What is the history of electronic music?

Electronic music, is the use of electronic musical instruments as well as electronic music technology to produce music; and the musicians who create or perform this type of music are called electronic musicians. Generally speaking, a distinction can be made between sounds made using electro-mechanical techniques and sounds made using electronic techniques. Devices that use electro-mechanical sound production include the telecaster reed organ, the Hammond organ, and the electric guitar; while purely electronic sound production devices include the Tremendous, the sound synthesizer, and the computer. Electronic music was once almost exclusively associated with Western, particularly European, art music, but since the late 1960s, Moore's Law has created affordable music technology, meaning that the use of electronic methods of music production has become more and more widespread and popular in different regions of the world. Today's electronic music encompasses a wide variety of genres and ranges from experimental art music to popular forms such as electronic dance music.

Starting in the 1960s, psychedelic rock (jimmyhendrix for a moment) pushed up the volume of the instruments and created distortion, and then more and more novel effects were used in music, such as avant-garde rock, which made extensive use of samples and synthesizers. One of the better known bands is pinkfloyd. After the punk movement reached its zenith in '75, a number of post-rock and post-punk bands emerged, which began to take shape in the 1980s and continued to grow, drawing on (or reviving, in my opinion, more of a prototypical punk) punk's spiritual core to make a kind of mechanical, repetitive, but at the same time varied and artful music. Electronic but not dance music usually developed from this strand above. Multi-track recording technology also matured and became heavily utilized in the 60s and 80s as mentioned above.
