The origin of Arbor Day?

Arbor Day is 12 every March. Today is the Arbor Day of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the anniversary of his death. Spring is suitable for planting trees.

Sun Yat-sen was the earliest advocate of afforestation in modern China. In his book On Li Hongzhang, he once suggested that if China wants to be strong, it must "promote agriculture urgently and attach importance to tree art". He advocated that if China wants to be strong, it must develop agriculture and attach importance to the techniques of tree cultivation. In fact, during the Beiyang government, Arbor Day was designated as Tomb-Sweeping Day.

1925 In March, Sun Yat-sen died in Beiping. To commemorate Sun Yat-sen, the National Government changed Arbor Day to March 12, and Sun Yat-sen passed away. After the founding of New China, March 12 was designated as Arbor Day at the 6th meeting of the 5th the NPC Standing Committee. On Arbor Day, people plant some small trees outdoors, which not only beautifies the environment, but also cultivates their sentiments.
