What is mpos?

Abstract: mpos is the abbreviation of minipos, a small card reader, which is what we often call a Bluetooth pos machine with a small brush. The advantages of mpos machine are small size, easy to carry and no flow fee. The disadvantage is that there is no paper receipt, and you need to connect with mobile phone software to swipe your card with Bluetooth. Pos machines can generate paper receipts, which is convenient for bookkeeping. The disadvantage is that the machine needs to be charged, and the fuselage is large, so it is not convenient to carry without MPOS. 1. What is mpos?

MPOS is a new payment product, which is connected with general intelligent mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablet computers, and transmits information through the Internet. External devices complete card reading, PIN input, data encryption and decryption, prompt information display and other operations, thus realizing the application of payment function.

MPOS includes terminal equipment and related applications. The cashier operation of merchants is carried out through mobile communication equipment (including payment application software), and the related information of UnionPay cards is collected and encrypted by external special acceptance terminals, and the transaction is completed through the interaction between mobile communication equipment and background processing system. The front-end dedicated hardware and software devices involved in this process are always called MPOS.

Second, the difference between mpos and pos machines

The differences between MPOS and POS are: different purchase orders, different principles, different portability, different costs, different volumes, different functions and different security. Generally speaking, MPOS is superior to POS. MPOS is a new type of acquiring terminal, which is connected with mobile devices such as mobile phones through Bluetooth and audio interface to meet the needs of merchants for micropayment.

After the transaction is completed, POS will issue a paper purchase order, while MPOS will not issue a paper purchase order, but users can view the transaction records on the mobile phone connected to MPOS.

MPOS has built-in SIM card, which reads the card in the card reader and transmits the transaction data to the transaction terminal. After receiving the transaction data, the transaction terminal packages the transaction data and sends it to the NAC downlink card, and the downlink card defined by the specific bit of TPDU forwards the transaction data to the uplink card.

POS stores commodity information in computer files in advance, and retrieves data through UnionPay trading framework during the transaction. The barcode on the commodity directly reads the data through the optical reading device on the cash register equipment, and displays the commodity information.

POS provides merchants with services such as consumption, authorization, return, flow inquiry, balance inquiry, transaction voucher printing, summary printing, password modification, payment stop bill inquiry, etc. MOPS does not have the function of reprinting transaction vouchers, but it has other functions of POS, and also has functions that POS does not have, such as transferring money, swiping cards, and recharging telephone charges.

In terms of price, the price of traditional POS is much higher than that of MPOS, and the price of MPOS is only 1/3 of that of traditional POS, which is undoubtedly a cost-effective choice for small businesses.
