What happened to the mighty Five Tiger Generals of the Fengshui system?
The so-called Fenghuang five tiger generals, refers to Jiang Dengxuan, Guo Songling, Li Jinglin, Han Linchun and Zhang Zongchang five people, these five people later did not fare well, either due to illness and early death or death: Jiang Dengxuan Jiang Dengxuan was born in 1880 in Zhili, once studied in the Japanese army non-commissioned officers' school, took part in the United League.
After graduation, Jiang served under Zhu Qinglan, the commander of the Fengtian defense force, and then followed him for a long time until 1922, when he joined the Fengtian faction. Since then, as the first battle between the Fengtian and Fengtian was lost, Zhang Zuolin wanted to reorganize the army and reuse soldiers from military schools, Jiang Dengxuan was able to rise through the ranks, and later became the director of training. At the time of the second battle, Jiang was the commander of the 1st Army.
The 1st and 3rd armies were under the unified command of Zhang Xueliang, and Guo Songling was in charge. During this period, Jiang Dengxuan and Guo Songling had a dispute, and the two men became enemies. After winning the second war between the Fengtian system, the Fengtian system entered the customs and seized a lot of territory, because of Zhang Zuolin's beloved Yang Yu-ting and Guo Song-ling, so he supported Jiang Deng elected to serve as the Anhui military governor, Guo Song-ling squeezed out.
This made Guo Songling very unhappy with Yang Yuting and Jiang Dengchuan. After that, Jiang was defeated by Sun Chuanfang, on the way back to Fengtian through the Luanzhou, coincided with Guo Songling to rise against Feng, so Jiang Dengchuan detained, and ultimately killed, died at the age of 45. It is said that Jiang Dengxuan did not die immediately when he was killed, and finally suffocated in a coffin, which was full of scratches, and was the earliest and the most miserable one in the death of the Five Tiger Generals.
Guo Songling Guo Songling was born in 1883, he and Jiang Dengxuan experience is almost the same, he graduated from the Army University, also used to participate in the Revolutionary Party, also served under the Zhu Qinglan, are in the Zhu Qinglan went into the field before leaving him. However, Guo Songling joined the Fengtian army earlier than Jiang Dengxuan. When he was a tactics instructor at the Army Lecture Hall in the eastern three provinces, Guo Songling was Zhang Xueliang's teacher, and he has been close to Zhang Xueliang ever since.
During the second battle of the Straits and Fengtian, Guo Songling actually commanded the battle at Shanhaiguan as the deputy commander of the 3rd Army.
After the victory of the Fengtian system, Guo Songling was interested in the military governor of Jiangsu Province, but Yang Yu-ting was the first to get the job. After that, he was interested in the position of military governor of Anhui Province, but he was supported by Yang Yu-ting's Jiang Dengxuan, which made Guo Songling extremely dissatisfied.
After that, Guo Songling was suspected by Zhang Zuolin for opposing the continuation of the civil war, and finally he staged a mutiny against the Chinese. However, due to the intervention of Japanese forces, Guo Songling was eventually defeated and was executed shortly after being captured at the age of 42.
Han Linchun Han Linchun was born in 1885 and graduated from the Japanese army cadet school, just like Jiang Dengxuan. Han Linchun was an alternative to the generals of the Fengtian system, as he was recognized by Zhang Zuolin for his work in organizing the Three Eastern Provinces Arsenal, and rose through the ranks to become the General Manager of the Three Eastern Provinces Arsenal.
Han Linchun had a good relationship with Jiang Dengxuan, and he stood firmly by Zhang Zuolin during Guo Songling's uprising, which led to his promotion. But in 1927, Han Linchun suffered a stroke, after which he retired to his home to recuperate, and in 1931, because of his condition, Han Linchun died at home at the age of 46.
Li Jinglin Li Jinglin was born in 1885, graduated from the Baoding Beiyang Army Accelerated Martial Arts Academy, during which he also studied under the Wudang swordsmanship master Song only, practiced a handful of good swordsmanship. After Li Jinglin joined the Fengtian Army, he practiced martial arts with great success. He performed well in the first and second wars between the Feng and the Zhi-Feng armies. Li Jinglin was forced to leave the army because of the conflict between him and Zhang Zuolin, but after he left the army, he was very enthusiastic about the national martial arts movement, and made a great contribution to the traditional Chinese martial arts. 1931, Li Jinglin suffered from dysentery, and he died in 1932 at the age of only 47.
Zhang Zongchang Zhang Zongchang was born in Shandong Province in 1881 and went to create Kanto as a young boy, working on the Middle East Railroad. During the Russo-Japanese War, Zhang Zongchang once collected green armies to help the Russian army to fight, and after that, he defected to Chen Qimei, Feng Guozhang and others, and in 1921, he defected to Zhang Zuolin. Zhang Zongchang did not go to military school, but he was good at dealing with greenhorns, so he organized many of them.
During the Second Sino-French War, Zhang Zongchang took advantage of the opportunity to organize a large number of troops, and his strength increased greatly, and finally became the military governor of Shandong. In Shandong, Zhang Zongchang raided the land, expanding the army, but also made a lot of sins. During the Northern Expeditionary War, Zhang Zongchang was defeated by the Northern Expeditionary Army, routed to Shanhaiguan due to too many bandits in the troops, Zhang Xueliang refused to let his troops out of the pass, and finally was annihilated by the Northern Expeditionary Army, Zhang Zongchang went into the wilderness.
Zhang Zongchang went into hiding and tried to rise again many times, but his behavior caused the Shandong Province chairman Han Fuqu's vigilance, in order to eliminate the trouble, Han Fuqu tricked Zhang Zongchang to Shandong. Zheng Jicheng, the son of Zheng Jinsheng, who was killed by Zhang Zongchang, took the opportunity to shoot him. Zhang Zongchang was only 51 years old when he died.
The five tigers of the Fenghuang system lived the longest Zhang Zongchang was only 51 years old, three of them died, two died young due to illness, this end can be said are not very good.
