How to make donuts 3 ways to make donuts
Method 1: doughnut.
1. Mix yeast and warm water in a small mold. Yeast needs warm water to activate; This will help the doughnut dough expand and keep fluffy. Let this activation process last for 5 minutes.
2. Stir at low speed and mix yeast, milk, sugar, salt, eggs and 2 cups of flour. Alternatively, you can use a wooden spoon to stir, but you must first mix the dry materials, then mix the wet materials separately, and finally mix the dry materials and wet materials together.
3. Stir 1/2 cups of flour at low speed each time until the dough does not touch the bowl.
4. Knead the dough with your fingers and joints for 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
5. Put the dough in a bowl to make it swell. Cover with a towel until the dough volume doubles, about 1 hour. When you press the dough with your fingers and the indentation can stay, the dough can be used.
6. Knead the dough on a floured chopping board until the dough is about 2.5 cm thick. Cut the dough with a flour knife or knead it into a doughnut shape by hand.
7. It takes about 30-60 minutes for the doughnut to expand to twice its size again. Put the dough on the tray and cover it with a clean towel.
8. When the doughnut swells, prepare syrup. This is a classic syrup, not the most popular Krispy Kreme syrup in America. The method of making syrup is as follows: melt butter in a pot. Be careful not to burn the butter.
Stir butter with sugar and vanilla until uniform.
Add hot water, one tablespoon at a time, until the syrup is thin, but no water floats on it.
9. Add hot oil to the frying pan or frying pan until the temperature reaches 175℃. Use the most accurate kitchen thermometer. In order to avoid greasy smell, heat it at medium and high temperature for five minutes, and then slowly cool it down until the thermometer shows 175℃.
10. Carefully slide the doughnut into the oil with pliers or scraper. When the doughnuts float to the oil surface, turn them over. Fry until both sides are golden and even.
1 1. Take the doughnuts out of the oil and bake them on the grill. Make sure there are no extra oil drops before.
12. When they are still hot, immerse the doughnuts in the syrup and wrap them evenly. Dry them in the oven and enjoy them immediately.
Method 2: Bake doughnuts.
1. Preheat the oven to165 C, and then slowly put oil into the pot.
2. Put flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder and salt into a large bowl.
3. Mix the milk, eggs and herbs together before mixing with the dry raw material mixture. Then mix well with the batter.
4. Pour the batter into the doughnut mold, each cell is 3/4 full. Because donuts get bigger when they are baked in the oven.
5. Bake donuts for 8- 10 minutes until they are elastic. Let it cool a little before taking it out of the mold.
6. Make and use syrup. In a small bowl, mix sugar, hot water and almond essence until smooth and creamy. Dip the still warm doughnuts into the syrup, but don't overdo it.
Method 3: Canadian donuts
1. Mix yeast, warm water and a little sugar in a large bowl, and stir until foam begins to appear, which takes about 5 minutes.
2. Add milk, 1/3 cups of sugar, salt, vanilla extract, eggs and 1/3 cups of vegetable oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
3. Add about 2.5 cups of whole wheat flour and stir until the dough is too hard to add any more flour. Put the dough on a board with flour on the surface and sprinkle more flour until the dough doesn't stick to your hands. Continue to knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, which takes about 10 minute.
4. Knead the dough into a big ball, put it in the oiled basin and cover it. Leave it for a while until the dough swells to twice the size, which takes about 1 hour.
5. Put the dough on the flour-sprinkled chopping board and knead it to shape. Break a piece of dough the size of a spoon.
6. Make a tablespoon of dough into strips or ovals. You can use a rolling pin or hand. The dough should be 1.5cm thick. In Canada, this is usually called "the tail of a beaver", so use your imagination!
7. When you knead the remaining dough, cover the kneaded dough and let it swell.
8. Heat the oil to190 C in a deep pot. The oil depth should be at least10cm.
9. When heating the oil, mix two spoonfuls of sugar and cinnamon powder and set aside.
10. Gently put the dough in the oil pan, one at a time, and fry for 1-2 minutes until it turns golden brown. Then move to the grill.
1 1. Absorb excess oil on doughnuts with paper towels. Dip each doughnut into the mixture of cinnamon powder and sugar until they get hot.
12, then enjoy it!
Tip: Remember to coat the surface of the tool with flour, otherwise it will be difficult to remove the batter once it is stained.
If there is no vanilla, you can use lemon.
Warning be careful not to be scalded by hot oil.
