Northern China. Yangge is a custom in northern China, widely spread in Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and the northeast, especially in some areas, Yangge has become an important cultural tradition and folk art form. For example, in Luannan County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, Yangge is an important part of the local Spring Festival celebrations; in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, Fushun Rice-planting Songs have strong ethnic and regional characteristics; and in northern Shaanxi, Yangge is widely spread in Yulin, Yan'an and other places in Shaanxi Province. In addition, Yangge is also a representative dance of the Han folk in northern China, with various forms, a wide mass and rich cultural connotations.
