AHCI mode of Acer 474 1G notebook computer

AHCI is a new hard disk algorithm, which can effectively improve the performance of mechanical hard disks and support some special functions. AHCI mode is the opposite of IDE mode, and SATA drivers need to be installed when installing the system.

Method of converting computer hard disk mode into AHCI mode;

1. Restart or turn on the computer, and then press the corresponding shortcut key to enter the bios setup window when the boot screen appears. In the bios setup window, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the "Config" option, then select "Serial ATA(SATA)" and press enter to confirm;

2. After opening serial ATA(SATA), you will see "SATA controller mode option [compatibility]" and press enter to select it;

3. The selection window will pop up. We will switch its mode to "AHCI" and press Enter to confirm.

4. After mode switching, we can see that the bracket after "SATA controller mode option" is changed to "AHCI";

5. After this operation, we change the hard disk mode to ahci mode. Finally, press F 10 to save the settings just now and exit the bios settings. At this time, we can install win8 system.
