What is a brother drum?
Argo drum is a traditional national musical instrument in Yunnan.
Argo drum is a traditional Yunnan national musical instrument, which is made of semi-circular copper pieces and produces sound by tapping or shaking. It is widely used in religion, entertainment and folk celebrations. In some Tibetan and Dai villages, Ago drum is also one of the important instruments for folk music and dance performances. Argo drum is crisp and soft, full of appeal and rhythm, and is regarded as a very unique musical instrument by many tourists.
Ago drums are mainly distributed in the northwest of Yunnan Province, including Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture and Dehong Autonomous Prefecture.
