Willow weaving is one of China's traditional folk handicrafts. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, wicker was used to weave cups, plates, etc., coated with lacquer, known as Cup Tahiti. In the Tang Dynasty, Cangzhou (present-day Cangzhou, Hebei Province and the area north of Ningjin, Shandong Province) willow boxes have been very famous. In the Song Dynasty, people take the thin strips of willow, "fire forced to make the soft curved, for box and suitcase". Since then, the willow craft continues to develop. Traditional varieties of willow weaving are mainly clothing boxes, colanders, dustpans, etc. Since 1960, China's willow crafts began to export, the production of a greater development.
