The Historical Evolution of Southeast Shipyard

Our factory, formerly known as "Fujian Fishing Boat Repair Factory", was established in 1956, and 197 1 was listed as a national seventh five-year plan project. After reconstruction, it has become one of the five major fishing boat repair bases in China, mainly producing fishing boats and small cargo ships. 1985 began to produce frozen fishing boats and 1000T cargo ships exported to West Africa. Since 1990, in order to meet the market demand, the products have been gradually diversified, covering cargo ships under 5000 tons, multi-purpose container cargo ships, fishing boats, barges, engineering ships, tourist ships, high-power tugboats, oil tankers, antique tourist ships and so on. And exported to Japan, Singapore and South Korea. With the expansion of the production and operation scale of the enterprise, with the approval of the provincial government in April 1998, the enterprise was renamed as "Fujian Southeast Shipyard", which belongs to Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group. Soon, due to the reconstruction of Jiang Bin Road in Fuzhou, the factory moved to Mawei and merged with the shipyard of the provincial marine fishery enterprise. At present, our products are mainly exported to Japan, France, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, West Africa and other countries, as well as Hongkong and Taiwan Province Province. It is the backbone enterprise of ship design and construction in Fujian Province, and won the honorary titles of national second-class enterprise and provincial advanced enterprise. After strict selection by the Fujian Enterprise Market Share Jury, in 2006, our factory was rated as the 54th among the top 300 enterprises in Fujian Province and the 4th among the top 50 industries in export market share.
