What is the explanation of the first aid method?

First-aid field treatment is also called on-site rescue or pre-hospital first aid. It means that some patients with accidental injuries and acute diseases get timely and effective first aid measures before they arrive at the hospital. The purpose is to save lives, reduce disability and pain, and lay the foundation for further treatment.

How to deal with an emergency ■ Quickly eliminate fatal and injury-causing factors, such as removing heavy objects pressed on the injured and evacuating from the poisoning scene.

■ Call medical personnel to the scene quickly.

■ Remove foreign bodies in the mouth and nose of the wounded and sick, including silt, vomit, blood clots, loose dentures, etc. And keep the respiratory tract unobstructed.

■ Check the breathing, heartbeat, pulse and other vital signs of the sick and wounded. If breathing and heartbeat stop, cardiopulmonary resuscitation should be performed immediately.

■ Patients with traumatic bleeding should quickly take local materials and bandage them to stop bleeding. If there is abdominal organ prolapse or brain tissue bulge, it can be protected by clean towel, soft cloth or enamel bowl.

■ Fracture patients are temporarily fixed with wooden boards.

■ If the injured person is unconscious, pay attention to the heartbeat, breathing and pupil size on both sides; If the injured person is unconscious, and the tongue muscles are backward, blocking the throat and airway, making noises when breathing (such as snoring), pull the tongue forward to prevent suffocation.

Special instructions ■ Don't panic once disaster strikes suddenly. On-site rescue should be carried out calmly and call the ambulance personnel.

■ To rescue the injured on the spot, the first problem is to assess whether there is potential danger on the spot. If there is danger, it should be removed as much as possible. For example, set up roadblocks at the scene of traffic accidents to prevent houses from collapsing and hurting people at the scene of fire. Also pay attention to the cause of the accident to prevent the occurrence of secondary accidents.

■ After on-site rescue, choose appropriate tools for rapid and correct transportation according to the injury, and pay attention to the patient's injury at any time during the transportation.
