The Rose Festival in the World Flower Festival

Bulgaria is famous as the "hometown of roses" in the world, and the Bulgarian people respectfully call roses "national flowers". The first Sunday in June is the Rose Festival in Bulgaria every year. The center of the celebration is in Kazanlik and Kawenloyu Valley, which are rich in roses. On the day of the festival, the people gathered here dressed up, and the "Rose Girls" happily picked bright roses, then tied them into garlands for the guests and threw petals at the crowd. Farmers who grow roses dance to the music and hold ceremonies to celebrate the harvest of roses.
