The difference between the new college entrance examination and the traditional college entrance examination

In terms of subject categories: the traditional college entrance examination is divided into liberal arts and sciences. The first semester of high school or the first semester of high school are divided into liberal arts and sciences. The subjects studied in liberal arts exclude language and mathematics. In addition, there are politics, history, geography, and science subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology. The new college entrance examination does not distinguish between arts and sciences, and students can combine freely.

In terms of examination subjects: the traditional college entrance examination subjects are Chinese and Mathematics + Liberal Arts (Politics, History and Geography)/Chinese and Mathematics + Science and Comprehensive (Physics and Chemistry). The scores for both Chinese and Mathematics are 150, and Arts and Sciences are both 150. The overall score is 300 points. The subjects to be taken in the new college entrance examination are 3+3. The first 3 refers to Chinese language, mathematics and foreign language. The second 3 refers to 3 out of 6 (choose 3 out of 7 in Zhejiang). 6 refers to history, geography, physics and chemistry. For students, Zhejiang has an additional technology (including information technology and general technology, each accounting for 50 points). The full score is 100 points.

In terms of examination timeliness: the traditional college entrance examination is valid for life after one test, and is valid for that year; the new college entrance examination is valid for the language test, and the English and elective subjects are valid for two years.
